EEX Kundeninformation 2005-09-16 Gemeinsame Simulationen für den Handel in European-Carbon-Futures Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, wie bereits angekündigt wird die EEX den Handel in European-Carbon-Futures vorbehaltlich der Zustimmung des Börserates und der Zustimmung zur umsatzsteuerlichen Behandlung der Futures durch die Finanzbehörden am 04. Oktober 2005 starten. Zur Vorbereitung auf den Handelsstart bietet die EEX mehrere geführte Simulationen zu folgenden Terminen an: 1. 19.09.2005 von 09:00 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr 2. 20.09.2005 von 10:00 Uhr bis 18:00 Uhr 3. 21.09.2005 von 09:00 Uhr bis 18:00 Uhr 4. 22.09.2005 von 09:00 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr 5. 23.09.2005 von 10:00 Uhr bis 18:00 Uhr 6. 26.09.2005 von 09:00 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr 7. 27.09.2005 von 10:00 Uhr bis 18:00 Uhr 8. 28.09.2005 von 09:00 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr 9. 29.09.2005 von 10:00 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr 10. 30.09.2005 von 10:00 Uhr bis 18:00 Uhr Die Startzeiten und die Dauer der einzelnen Handelsphasen in der Simulationsumgebung weichen von denen in der Produktion ab. Produktspezifikation Die Futureskontrakte für die 1. und 2. Verpflichtungsperiode mit den Bezeichnungen F1PE und F2PE haben eine jährliche Fälligkeit und berechtigen zum Bezug oder zur Lieferung von 1000 EUEmissionsberechtigungen pro Kontrakt. Die ausführlichen Produktspezifikationen sind dieser Kundeninformation beigefügt. Besonderheit bei der Erfassung von OTC-Geschäften Zur Erfassung von OTC-Geschäften steht im Handelssystem das Fenster „OTC Block Trade Entry“ zur Verfügung. Die Vorgehensweise wird im Anhang zu dieser Kundeninformation beschrieben. Product Specification The Futures contracts for the 1st and 2nd compliance periods with the identifications F1PE and F2PE have a yearly maturity and entitle to sale or purchase 1000 EU emission allowances per contract. The detailed product specifications are attached to this customer information. Specifics for Registration of OTC Transactions: For the registration of OTC-transactions, the window “OTC Block Trade Entry“ is available in the trading system. The procedures of registration of OTC transactions are described in the attachment of this customer information. Minimale Preisveränderung 0,01 € pro Tonne CO2, dies entspricht 10 € pro Kontrakt. Fulfilment is ensured by means of transferring of the EU emission allowances within the internal stock accounts of EEX AG and by means of the change in the share in the total stock in the account kept in trust by EEX AG at DEHSt which is connected with such transfer. Fulfilment On the delivery day the buyer of a futures contract buys the corresponding shares in the total stock of EU emission allowances which are booked within the account of EEX AG kept at DEHSt upon payment of the purchase price. The seller of a futures contract transfers his corresponding shares in the total stock which are booked within the account of EEX AG kept at DEHSt. on the delivery day. Return Every joint owner in the total stock of EU emission allowances on the account of EEX AG kept at DEHSt is entitled to demand the transfer of the allowances in question to an account specified by the trading participant and kept at a suitable national register authority from EEX at any time, however, no later than by 31 March 2008 with regard to emission allowances with a term of three years beginning on 1 January 2005 and no later than by 31 March 2013 for EU emissions allowances with a term of five years beginning on 1 January 2008. Nach erfolgreicher Eingabe wird im Feld “TranNo” die Transaktionsnummer angezeigt. Schritt 2: Die Transaktionsnummer wird dem Verkäufer mitgeteilt. Schritt 3: Der Verkäufer bestätigt die Eingabe im Fenster “OTC Block Trade Entry“ indem er „Approve“ klickt. F1PE DEC06 1 OTC clearing Registration of OTC transactions in European Carbon Futures Step 1: The buyer registers the OTC trade in the “OTC Block Trade Entry“ window, clicks on “Add” and then on “Apply”. Successful entry is indicated by means of a transaction number. Step 2: The transaction number is forwarded to the seller manually. Step 3: The seller confirms registration in the “OTC Block Trade Entry“ window by clicking “Approve”. F1PE DEC06 2
