1.QU’EST-CE QUE CUTERPES® 1%, gel pour
application locale ET DANS QUELS CAS EST-IL
UTILISE ?
CUTERPES® 1% appartient à la famille des antiviraux. Il
agit sur les virus du groupe de l’herpès.
Ce médicament est indiqué dans le traitement
des poussées d’herpès labial localisé appelé aussi
“bouton de fièvre”.
Si vous oubliez d’utiliser CUTERPES® 1%, ne prenez pas
de double dose pour compenser la dose que vous avez
oubliée de prendre.
4. QUELS SONT LES EFFETS INDESIRABLES
EVENTUELS ?
Comme tous les médicaments, CUTERPES® 1% est
susceptible d’avoir des effets indésirables, bien que tout
le monde n’y soit pas sujet.
Les effets indésirables suivants peuvent survenir :
- des réactions allergiques
- eczéma
Si vous ressentez un quelconque effet indésirable,
veuillez en parler à votre médecin ou votre pharmacien.
Ceci s’applique aussi à tout effet indésirable qui ne serait
pas mentionné dans cette notice.
5.COMMENT CONSERVER CUTERPES® 1%, gel pour
application locale ?
Tenir hors de la portée et de la vue des enfants.
Ne pas utiliser CUTERPES® 1% après la date de

CUTERPES® 1% is in the antiviral family of medications. It
works on the herpes viruses.
This medication is used for the treatment of localized
herpes outbreaks on the lip (cold sores), also known as
“fever blisters.”
2.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING
CUTERPES® 1%, gel for local application
Do not use CUTERPES® 1%:
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active
substance (ibacitabine) or any of the other
ingredients of CUTERPES® 1% (listed in section 6).
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to iodine.
If you have any doubts, it is important to ask for the
advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings and precautions with CUTERPES® 1%:
• This medication contains propyleneglycol, which
can cause skin irritations, and also contains an
organomercury derivative that can cause localized
skin reactions (such as eczema) and
depigmentation of the skin.
• You should talk to your doctor and do not use this
gel if your herpes outbreak occurs on a different
part of the body.
• Consult your doctor if your fever blister does not
heal after 10 days of treatment, or if it gets worse.
Taking or using other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have
recently taken any other medicine, including those
obtained without a prescription.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Pregnancy: You should avoid using this medicine if you
are pregnant. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking any medicine.
Breastfeeding: Ask your doctor for advice before taking
any medicine.
Driving and using machines:
CUTERPES® 1% does not have any effect on the ability to
drive and use machines.
The following side effects might occur:
- allergic reactions
- eczema.
If you get any side effects, please talk to your doctor or
pharmacist. This includes also any possible side effects
not listed in this leaflet.
5.HOW TO STORE CUTERPES® 1%, gel for local
application
Keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use CUTERPES® 1% after the expiry date which is
stated on the external carton.
This medicine should not be kept more than one month
after the first use. Write the date the medicine was
opened clearly on the packaging.
Store at a temperature below 25°C.
Medicines should not be discarded into the sewage or
with household waste. Ask your pharmacist what to do
with medicines you no longer use. These measures will
help to protect the environment.
