Mon âme magnifie le Seigneur
et mon esprit s'est réjoui en Dieu mon Sauveur.
Car Il a regardé l'humilité de Sa servante,
c'est pourquoi, voyez, dès lors,
toutes les générations m'appelleront bénie.
Car Lui qui est puissant m'a magnifiée,
et saint est Son Nom,
et Sa miséricorde est sur ceux qui Le craignent
à travers les générations.
Il a montré de la force avec Son bras,
Il a dispersé les fiers [ceux qui sont fiers]
dans l'imagination de leur cœur.
Il a renversé les puissants de leur siège,
il a exalté les humbles et les soumis.
Il a rassasié les affamés avec de bonnes choses
et les riches, Il les a renvoyés [les mains] vides.
Il se souvient que Sa miséricorde
a secouru Son serviteur Israël;
comme il l'avait promis à nos aïeux,
à Abraham et sa descendance, à jamais.

Gloire soit au Père, et au Fils,
et au Saint Esprit,
comme il était au commencement, il est maintenant,
et il sera à jamais dans le monde sans fin.
Seigneur, maintenant laisse Ton serviteur partir en paix,
en accord avec Ta parole.
Car mes yeux ont vu Ton salut,
que Tu as préparé à la face de tous les peuples
pour être une lumière pour illuminer les Gentils;
et pour être la gloire de Ton peuple Israël.
