School’s Cool is a free kindergarten readiness
course which engages children ages 3 to 5 years
in the joy and excitement of learning.

With the little ones snuggled into baby carriers, new parents learn basic steps to popular Latin
Dances, while babies shake maracas and bounce along to the Salsa beat. This event offers a
great workout, a chance to socialize with other parents, and an opportunity to introduce one's
child to music and movement. For babies 3 to 12 months.

First Words Screening Clinic/Clinique de dépistage Premiers Mots:
When: Saturday, July 28
First Words screening clinics are open to children from birth until they are eligible for Senior
Kindergarten and who live in the City of Ottawa. Screening clinics provide an opportunity to
discuss concerns with a Speech-Language Pathologist who will check your child for signs of a
speech or language delay. Parental consent for the child to be screened is required. Our free
“drop in” screening clinics are first come first served and do not require an appointment.
