Rétrospective en images de l’année 2014, quelques bons souvenirs pour commencer 2015…
Le moment fort de l’année fut comme d’habitude le déplacement à Brisbane, du jeudi 26 au
dimanche 29 juin, pour participer à la journée nationale des réserves de nos amis Aussies.
Nous étions 8 (et une famille) pour cette onzième année de jumelage AOR – DRA avec au
programme visite du musée de l’aviation à Caloundra, cocktail au mess de la caserne Victoria, dépôt
de gerbes à Ipswich le samedi, puis au cénotaphe du centre ville le dimanche, ainsi que quelques
pots et repas en commun, entre nous ou avec nos camarades Queenslanders.

The yearly visit to our Aussie friends was a
good and strong moment of the year, from
Thursday 26th to Sunday June 29th. We
were 8 (and 1 family) to attend the National
Reserves Day ceremonies. This year was
the 11th time we went to Brisbane in the
history of our twinning.
The activities planned this year were the
visit of Caloundra air museum, a cocktail in
Victoria barracks mess, a wreath laying at
Ipswich, an other one at Brisbane cenotaph,
and some lunches and dinners together,
with or without our Queenslanders friends.

Le vendredi 27 juin visite du musée et déjeuner dans la belle cité balnéaire de Caloundra, le soir,
cocktail décontracté au mess de garnison de la caserne Victoria avec dégustation de vins locaux.
Visit of the air museum in the morning of Friday 27th, then lunch in Caloundra RSL club, and unformal
cocktail inside Victoria barracks mess, with local wines tasting, on the evening.
Le lendemain samedi 28 juin avait lieu le dépôt de gerbes à Ipswich, suivi du traditionnel morning tea.
On Saturday 28th we went to Ipswich to attend the wreath lying at ANZAC square and the morning tea.
Après une visite au jardin japonais d’Ipswich, nous allons chez notre amie Adele pour une dégustation
de produits typiquement australiens, vins et fromages, avant de rentrer à Spring Hill Garden.
After visiting Nerima Gardens, we proceed to Adele’s home before going back to Spring Hill.
Quelques haltes dans nos cantines favorites pour être en forme dimanche, dépôt de gerbes à Brisbane.
In the evening some stops in our favorite places to prepare the wreath lying on Sunday morning.
Après le dépôt de gerbes, nous participons au morning tea offert par le Lord-maire de Brisbane, avant
de préparer nos bagages pour le retour vers Nouméa le même soir. See you next year…

Nous étions honorés d’accueillir en ce mois de juillet nos camarades de la Amberley Brass Band venus
participer aux célébrations de la Fête Nationale, avec son leader Steve FINCH et Dennis DEERING.
We were honored to welcome our friends from Amberley Brass Band who attended the Bastille Day
celebrations. They played around the city in schools and touristic areas, which was much appreciated.
