Malerei für die Kaiser Indiens
L’héritage doré d’Akbar – la peinture
sous l’empire moghol
Bis 14.2.2016 Das späte 16. und
frühe 17. Jahrhundert gelten als
Goldenes Zeitalter der indischen
Malerei. Erstmals ist eine umfassende Dauerleihgabe prächtiger
Werke der Mogulmalerei zu sehen.
Zeitgleich wird in der Park-Villa
Rieter die Ausstellung «Andere
Welten» mit Malereien jenseits der
Mogulmalerei gezeigt.
Magie der Zeichen –
3000 Jahre chinesische Schriftkunst
Bis 20.3.2016 Chinesische Schriftzeichen faszinieren!
Auch wer sie nicht lesen kann, spürt ihre magische Aura
und lässt sich von ihrer abstrakten Schönheit begeistern. Die Ausstellung spannt einen Bogen von den frühesten Schriftzeugnissen bis zur
zeitgenössischen Kunst.
Akbar’s Golden Legacy –
Painting for the Emperors of India
Until 14 Feb 2016 The late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries are considered the Golden Age of Indian painting. The
characteristic style first defined by artists who came to India
from Persia was further refined by subsequent generations. The
exhibition is the first to feature an extensive permanent loan of
magnificent works of Mughal painting.
The Magic of Characters –
3000 Years of Chinese Calligraphy
Until 20 Mar 2016 The magical aura and inspiring abstract
beauty of Chinese characters are a source of fascination even
for those who cannot read them. The exhibition invites visitors
to explore Chinese characters and calligraphy from the earliest
recorded writing all the way down to contemporary art and to
delve into their many layers of meaning.

Dada Africa
18 Mar – 17 July 2016 This is the world’s
first exhibition devoted to the Dadaists’
preoccupation with non-European art and
culture. Through their interest in the Other
and the foreign, Dada artists not only pioneered new aesthetic paths but also sought
to bring about social renewal. The exhibition documents the exciting dialogue between works of Dadaist art and artefacts
from Africa.

18.3. – 17.7.2016 Weltweit zum
ersten Mal widmet sich eine Ausstellung der Auseinandersetzung
der Dadaisten mit aussereuropäischer Kunst und Kultur. Durch die
Rezeption des Anderen und Fremden beschritten die Künstlerinnen
und Künstler nicht nur neue ästhetische Wege, sondern erhofften sich
dadurch auch eine gesellschaftliche Erneuerung. Die
Ausstellung zeigt den Dialog zwischen dadaistischen
Arbeiten und Artefakten aus Afrika.
Die Ausstellung ist eine Kooperation des Museums Rietberg und der
Berlinischen Galerie und findet anlässlich des Jubiläums Dada 100 Zürich
2016 statt
Gärten der Welt
13.5. – 9.10.2016 Gärten erzählen Geschichten von
der Sehnsucht nach dem Paradies, von der Liebe, vom
Rückzug, von der Macht, vom Schönen. Das Museum
Rietberg lädt zu einer Promenade durch die Welt der
Gärten mit Beispielen von Japan bis England, vom Alten Ägypten bis in unsere Tage. In einem historischen
Garten – dem Rieterpark – gelegen, wird das Museum
selbst zum Bestandteil einer einzigartigen Ausstellung.
Unterstützt von der Vontobel-Stiftung, der Parrotia-Stiftung, Swiss Re
und Novartis. In Kooperation mit Grün Stadt Zürich

Textilkunst aus
Japan
Ab 26.8.2016 Nach 125
Jahren wiederentdeckt:
Der weltweit grösste
Bestand an Papiervorlagen für japanische
Textilmuster aus Dresden ist zu Gast in Zürich.
Eine Auswahl von Werken zum Thema Regen wird in
einer einmaligen Inszenierung gezeigt.

Osiris –Ägyptens versunkene Schätze
Ab Februar 2017 Das grosse Kunstereignis im ersten
Halbjahr 2017: Als einzige deutschsprachige Station präsentieren wir Kunst zum Gründungsmythos Ägyptens.
Einzigartige, teils monumentale Objekte aus Unterwassergrabungen vor Alexandria beleuchten die
Legenden um Osiris.
Organisiert von der Hilti Foundation und dem Europäischen Institut für
Unterwasserarchäologie in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Antikenministerium
der Arabischen Republik Ägypten

festivities around the 100th anniversary of Dada in
Zurich in 2016
Gardens of the World
13 May – 9 Oct 2016 Gardens tell stories – stories of a
yearning for paradise, stories of love, retreat, power and
beauty. Museum Rietberg invites you to take a stroll
through the world of gardens from Japan to England
and from Ancient Egypt to the present day. Located in
a historic garden – the Rieterpark – the museum itself
will form part of a unique exhibition opening the eyes
of all garden-lovers.
Supported by the Vontobel-Stiftung, Parrotia-Stiftung, Swiss Re and
Novartis. In cooperation with Grün Stadt Zürich
Katagami – Textile Art from Japan
From 26 Aug 2016 Rediscovered in Dresden after
125 years: the world’s largest holdings of paper stencils
for Japanese textile patterns. The abstract patterns based
on motifs from Japanese nature aesthetics were cut into intricately
worked paper dye stencils made out of mulberry tree bark.

Osiris – Sunken Mysteries of Egypt
From Feb 2017 The biggest art event of the first half of 2017:
Museum Rietberg will be the only museum in the Germanspeaking world to host this touring exhibition of art connected
with Egypt’s founding myth. It will present a series of unique objects, some of them monumental, from underwater excavations
off the coast of Alexandria.
Organised by the Hilti Foundation and the European Institute for Underwater
Archaeology in cooperation with the Ministry of State for Antiquities of the Arab
Republic of Egypt

siècle sont considérés comme l’âge d’or de la peinture indienne. Cette exposition permet d’admirer, pour la première fois,
un prêt permanent important de
somptueux chefs-d’œuvre de la peinture moghole.
Magie des signes –
3000 ans de calligraphie
chinoise
Jusqu’au 20.3.2016 Les caractères
chinois nous fascinent! Même si nous
ne pouvons les déchiffrer, nous sentons leur aura magique et sommes
séduits par leur beauté abstraite. Elle remonte le
temps, des premiers témoignages écrits jusqu’à l’art
contemporain.

Dada Afrika
18.3. – 17.7.2016 Pour la première fois, une exposition est consacrée à la confrontation des dadaïstes
avec l’art et la culture extra-européens. Grâce à leur
réception de l’altérité et de ce monde qui leur était étranger, les artistes s’engageaient non seulement sur de
nouvelles voies esthétiques, mais ils en espéraient aussi
un renouveau social. L’exposition montre le dialogue
entre les travaux dadaïstes et des artefacts provenant
d’Afrique, d’Asie ou d’Océanie.

Jardins du monde
13.5. – 9.10.2016 Les jardins nous racontent des histoires qui évoquent la nostalgie
du Paradis, l’amour, l’isolement, le pouvoir
et la beauté. Le Musée Rietberg vous invite
à une promenade dans le monde des jardins, en présentant des exemples de jardins
japonais et anglais, mais aussi de la HauteEgypte à nos jours. Le Musée, qui se dresse
lui-même au cœur d’un parc historique – le
Rieterpark – fait partie intégrante d’une exposition exceptionnelle.
Avec le soutien de la Fondation Vontobel, de la Fondation
Parrotia, de Swiss Re et de Novartis. En collaboration avec
Grün Stadt Zürich
Katagami – art textile du Japon
A partir du 26.8.2016 Redécouverte après 125 ans : la
plus grande collection mondiale de katagami de Dresde
sera montrée à Zurich. Une sélection de pochoirs en
papier sur le sujet de la pluie se présentera dans une exposition extraordinaire.

Osiris – les trésors engloutis de
l’Egypte
A partir de février 2017 L’événement artistique le plus
important du premier semestre 2017! Le Musée Rietberg
sera la seule étape de l’espace culturel germanophone à
présenter des œuvres d’art en relation avec le mythe fondateur de l’Egypte. Des objets hors pair, certains monumentaux, provenant de fouilles sous-marines effectuées
au large d’Alexandrie.
Organisée par la Hilti Foundation et l’Institut européen pour l’archéologie sous-marine, en collaboration avec le Ministère des Antiquités de
la République arabe d’Egypte
