(2015 LaSalle College Contest) Win a scholarship that will change your future CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS 1) PARTICIPATION a) Contest period The contest begins on September 22nd, 2015, and the participation cut-off date and time is November 9th, 2015, at 11:59 p.m. (EST). The prize draw will take place at LaSalle College, situated at 2000 Sainte-Catherine Street West in Montréal, on Wednesday, November 18th, 2015 at 2 p.m. (EST). b) How to participate Participants can register on the www.lasallecollege.com website; complete an electronic entry form at the LaSalle College’s kiosk at the Montréal National Education Fair, or by Internet on the INEO www.salonnationaleducation.com and www.foirenationaleemploi.com websites. From September 21st to October 18th, 2015, the contest will be promoted through advertising vignettes, broadcast by the MÉTROVISION network, on screens located in metro stations in Montréal, Laval and Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke every weekday between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. The objective of these messages is to invite people to participate in the contest. Participants, who complete an electronic entry form, can double their chances of winning by “LIKING” LaSalle College’s Facebook page or triple their chances by sharing the contest using Facebook’s “SHARE” function. Note that the participant must be a Quebec resident. No purchase is necessary. There is no limit as to how often the person can submit entries. c) Description of prize As part of the Montréal National Education Fair and the Montréal National Job Fair, which will take place October 15-16, 2015, at the Place Bonaventure, LaSalle College, in collaboration with INEO Inc., wishes to award a $10,000 scholarship. This appropriated sum covers all administrative expenses related to the registration and tuition fees of a 2-year DEC study program at LaSalle College leading to a college diploma. If the student chooses a 3-year DEC study program at LaSalle College, the College will cover the aforementioned fees up to an amount of $10,000 and any cost differences above this said amount will be assumed by the student. 2) DRAW The draw will take place at LaSalle College, situated at 2000 Sainte-Catherine Street West, on Tuesday, November 18th, 2015, at 2 p.m. (EST), in order to determine the recipient. The name drawn will receive the $10,000 scholarship. The draw will be conducted among the contest participants who clearly indicated on their electronic entry form that they wish to apply to a DEC program before August 15th, 2016. These participants will have indicated (by choosing YES as a response to the question) their desire to apply to a DEC program before August 15th, 2016 by answering the following question on the electronic entry form: Are you planning to register in a DEC program (Diploma of College Studies) at a College level institution for the 2016 Fall semester? SELECT YES or NO. The winner will be notified by email and by telephone. They will then be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. If the participant passes this test, they will then receive a confirmation letter from LaSalle College’s administration confirming their status and informing them how they can claim their prize. The winners’ name will be broadcast, as of December 9th, 2015, on the LaSalle College website (www.lasallecollege.com), National Education Fair (www.salonnationaleducation.com) and National Job Fair (www.foirenationaleemploi.com) websites. 3) ELIGIBILITY To be granted this scholarship, the winner must reside in Quebec and meet certain requirements set out by Quebec’s ministre de l’Éducation, de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche (MEESR) in conjunction with the admission requirements of the college program they choose. Not eligible for this contest: employees, agents and representatives of LaSalle College, INEO Inc., Métromédia plus - Métrovision, affiliated companies, sponsors, as well as persons with whom they are domiciled, LaSalle College students as well as students of the LCI Education network. 4) PRIZE CLAIM PROCdESS To be declared a winner and claim their prize, the participant chosen during the draw must: a) Abide by the conditions of participation and admissibility, as specified in these regulations. Failure to meet any of these conditions will result in an automatic disqualification and another draw will be held to determine a new winner. b) Be reachable by a LaSalle College representative, by telephone or by email, within three (3) days following the draw. Every person must provide a telephone number or a valid email address where they can be reached between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If LaSalle College is unable to contact any selected person during one or several draws within three (3) days following each draw, LaSalle College shall proceed in as many draws necessary from the entries received in order to award the prize. c) Accept the conditions related to the prize for which the person was chosen. The scholarship prize is non-transferable, not redeemable nor marketable. d) Complete and sign the Declaration and Release Form, as submitted by LaSalle College, and return same within three (3) days following its receipt. In failing to return the duly completed and signed form within this time period, the chosen person cannot be declared a winner and claim their prize. Refusal by any person whose name is drawn at random to accept the prize as awarded, according to the contest conditions, releases LaSalle College from any obligation involving the prize as it applies to said person. The winner will receive a letter from LaSalle College’s administration confirming their status and informing them how they can claim their prize. As well, the prize will have to be applied (the winner must apply to LaSalle College) before August 15th, 2016. The maximum value of this prize is $10,000, the equivalent of the tuition fees and other applicable fees for a student residing in Quebec for a 2-year study program DEC (4 sessions). The various administrative fees are included but school supplies and manuals are excluded. If the student chooses a 3-year DEC study program at LaSalle College, the College will cover the aforementioned fees up to an amount of $10,000 and any cost differences above this said amount will be assumed by the student. In entering this contest, the winner authorizes the contest organizers, their donors and representatives to use, if required, their name, photographs, their coordinates, statements relating to the prizes, and/or voices for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation. Also, the winners’ parents, legal guardians or custodians (if under 18 years of age) will have to sign a form authorizing the contest organizers, their donors and representatives to use, if required, their name, photographs, coordinates, statements relating to the prizes, and/or voices for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation. *** Any conflict as to the organisation of a publicity contest or the holding thereof may fall under the authority of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in order for a firm decision to be taken. Refusal to accept the scholarship releases LaSalle College and INEO from any obligations related to that prize, including its delivery. 5) OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY Your personal information is strictly confidentially and will never be transferred to a third party without your prior approval. All this information will allow us to study your file and follow up on your request. 6) GENERAL This game is subject to these official regulations. Participant entries are subject to verification by the contest organizers. LaSalle College and INEO Inc. do not assume any responsibility for any problems or technical malfunctions, printing errors, lost, delayed, garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of or any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. By entering the contest, participants agree to conform to the official rules and respect the decisions of the sponsor(s), which are final, with regard to all aspects of the contest. LaSalle College, INEO Inc., the supplier(s), and the beneficiaries for whom this contest is held, shall not be held liable whatsoever for any situation in which their inability to act is the result of an event or circumstance that is beyond their control, or of a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute in the establishments of those organizations or firms whose services and facilities are used to hold this contest. If, for any legal motive, including the supplier’s bankruptcy, the prize cannot be delivered as is, the winner agrees to receive, at LaSalle College’s discretion, either a prize of equivalent value or a sum of money corresponding to the cost of LaSalle College’s aforementioned prize. In such a case, the winner renounces to any recourse or legal action against LaSalle College, INEO Inc. or the supplier. The winner is responsible for any event of any kind that could occur after taking possession of their prize and waives any recourse or legal action against LaSalle College or INEO Inc., who will accept no responsibility following the delivery of the prize to the winner. _______________________________________________
