Past conditional
You make the past conditional by using the conditional of avoir (below) + the past participle.
For example, I would have done is said “j’aurais fait”.
Here is how you conjugate both these tenses.
J’aurais
Tu aurais
Il aurait
Elle aurait
On aurait
Nous aurions
Vous auriez
Ils auraient
Elles auraient
+ past participle (e.g. je l’aurais fait
I would have done it)
The conditonal is usually formed with “if” which in French is “si”.
Look at these examples:
If I won the lottery, I would have a lot of money

If you had told me, I would have been happy

Yesterday, I watered the flowers
