The main objective of the proposal is to support SMEs innovation and development capacities by policy
mechanism and tools that can facilitate the access to finance for eco-innovative SMEs in MED area and the
necessary know-how and supporting service (awareness raising and training activities) to make potential
entrepreneurs able to found and sustain a green and sustainable local development in Mediterranean countries. It
encourages innovation and creativity especially in favour of small and medium energy services companies
(supply level) (eco-industry - Eurostat definition).

This project aims to connect the need of accessibility to labour market and remaining in employment with a
system of entrepreneurial opportunities created through the development of a new managerial culture in green
sector.
Specific objectives can be defined as follows:
- to develop new green business models customised for small and medium enterprises
- to develop innovative financing tools involving public institutions and private actors, including banks and credit
institutions, to support SMEs and small renewable energy and energy efficiency investments.
- to sensitize stakeholders, including banks and credit institutions and make more familiar SMEs with various
existing financial tools as well as with the instruments already used by partners and other international actors
(best practices);
- to experiment and consolidate an eco innovative model of labour active policies and good practice;
- to create jobs through business start-up in the renewable energy sector;
- to enhance a new kind of entrepreneurship based on eco- innovation, thanks to a stronger network cooperation
--between stakeholders and involved institutions;
- to increase MED cooperation to positively boost “micro credit” as a tool of economic democracy, social cohesion
and confidence in the future.
