Main idea of the project ˝Business efficiency support structure for SMEs˝ is to develop a centre that will
provide support for SMEs in the Mediterranean region focusing on innovations and promotion of innovative
technologies in the energy sector, especially those focused on environmentally friendly concepts, technologies
and innovations. The centre will be a basis for the network of experts providing support, mentoring and
consultations in innovation development management, preparation and development of projects for EU funding,
support to innovation and new technologies and promotion of green innovative concepts, products and
technologies. The basic idea of a support structure is to provide management counselling and mentoring on the
possibilities of gaining funds for innovation(s) of a certain SME, so we will provide specialized training and
mentoring on project preparation and management. The centre will continuously work on increasing awareness

and promoting green innovative concepts, technologies and products of the target group. It will also be focused
on transnational cooperation of SMEs and transfer on know how, as well as fostering their collaboration. We will
organise international networking events for SMEs in the energy sector from the Mediterranean region,
specifically focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency, in order to increase their activities and
collaboration on an international level. Therefore, this project addresses specific objective of the targeted call - to
improve knowledge management in SMEs.
