ULTIME ATOME est un groupe parisien, existant depuis dix ans. Ce premier album, « Dark
vision », est un rock progressif très moderne, avec des moments plus « metal », et dans les claviers et
atmosphères quelque chose qui rappelle le mouvement gothique. Quatre pièces seulement composent cet album,
dont deux « epics » de 14 et 22 minutes. Les ambiances sombres et tendues sont créées d’abord par la voix, qui
rappelle celle du groupe allemand CHANDELIER ou parfois MARILLION période Fish, et par le choix d’un
chant très théâtral et expressif. Elles sont ensuite renforcées par des claviers inquiétants, et par une sorte de midtempo, voire de lenteur par moments. Si l’on y ajoute des solis de guitare dans l’esprit des années 70, et des riffs
puissants, on obtient un ensemble étonnant, romantique et évocateur.

ULTIME ATOME is a french band, that exists since ten years. Their debut album, “Dark vision”,
reveals a very modern progressive rock, with heavy moments, and, in the keyboards and atmospheres, something
that reminds the gothic movement. Four pieces compose this album, among which two epics (14’ and 22’!).
Tense and dark atmospheres are created by theatrical vocals, that may recall the early Marillion sometimes
(English singing), as the singer’s voice is not far from the german band CHANDELIER’s singer. They are
enhanced by suggestive keyboard parts, and a sort of mid-tempo, or slowness sometimes. Add tense guitar solis
(sounding “pure seventies”), and you have a very strong music, romantic and dreamlike.
