OBJECTIF
Le diplôme IATA est une REFERENCE dans l’industrie mondiale du tourisme et des voyages.
C’est un ATOUT INDISPENSABLE pour quiconque souhaite perfectionner ses connaissances professionnelles et faire
carrière dans l’industrie du tourisme et des voyages.
Le participant acquiert une vaste connaissance d’une agence de voyages et se familiarise avec la réglementation, les codes,
la géographie mondiale, les voyages organisés, les conditions en matière de visas et vaccinations, le service à la clientèle et
les techniques de vente, la tarification aérienne, la billetterie électronique.
Après avoir suivi le cours avec succès, le candidat sera en mesure :
• de conseiller la clientèle et de lui fournir des renseignements adéquats
• d’organiser des voyages internationaux et d’effectuer les réservations correspondantes; d’établir les tarifs aériens
appropriés
• de rédiger les documents de passages internationaux avec précision, conformément aux prescriptions de l’IATA,
alliances, compagnies aériennes
• de trouver un emploi dans le secteur à l’étranger
CONTENU DU COURS
Cinq sujets ayant pour thème :
• Environnement commercial de l’industrie du tourisme et du voyage - Géographie et planification de voyages Formalités de voyages
• Produits : transport par train - location de voitures et fourgonnettes de camping - notions essentielles
du secteur hôtelier - transport par traversiers - organisation de voyages à forfait - notions essentielles du transport
aérien - compagnies aériennes IATA - compagnies low cost - impact économique - dérégulation et ouverture de
l’évolution du trafic aérien
• Services de support : service à la clientèle et technologie de l’industrie du voyage
• Tarification aérienne et billetterie : application des règles et réglementations les plus récentes
• Formation aux 4 différents systèmes GDS comprenant PNR, queues, tarification, hôtels, location de voitures, Timatic,
billetterie
METHODOLOGIE ET PROGRAMME
• 11 jours de formation préparatoire à l’examen IATA en TROIS modules :
- 4 jours de formation théorique basée sur plus de 2000 questions réelles
- 4 jours de formation technique avec plusieurs exercices pratiques
- 3 jours de pratique basés sur les examens réels IATA les plus récents
Examen IATA en français - sur demande: en anglais ou en espagnol - Cours en français avec possibilité
d’explications en anglais et/ou en néerlandais.

OBJECTIVES
The IATA-DIPLOMA is the most important REFERENCE in the global Industry of Travel and Tourism.
It is an indispensable tool for all those who want to improve their basic knowledge and aptitudes and want to make a
“beautiful career” in this most passionate and expanding industry on earth.
The participant will acquire a vast knowledge about the operations and the role of all partners involved: providers,
intermediaries, travel agencies, tour-operators, consumers.
The IATA-Foundation course is an enhanced course, including GDS training in Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo, Abacus.
By studying this course and successfully completing the examination, the student will become qualified with the
IATA/UFTTAA Foundation/Electronic Booking Tools DIPLOMA.
The several modules of the “Foundation course” will give the student an understanding of the Travel and Tourism Industry,
the practicalities of the travel professional’s role in this Industry and the importance of exceeding customers’ expectations,
a foundation of air fare calculations and e-ticketing and the ability to use practical tools to efficiently perform functions:
• advice clients with exact information
• organize international travel, journeys, personalized products, incentives, etc…
• make appropriate reservations, fare quotes, issue travel documents, using most performing and recent electronic
devices
The DIPLOMA- holder will find the job of his life all around the world.
CONTENTS
Five subject-matter themes:
• Travel Environment : the business environment of the travel and tourism industry, geography and travel planning, travel
formalities
• Products: land transport by rail, car rental or camper van, hotel accommodation, cruises and ferries, tour-operating,
essential knowledge of air transportation, IATA-carriers, low fare airlines, economic impact, deregulation and open sky
evolution
• Support services : customer service and technology in the travel industry
• Air fares and ticketing, applying most recent rules and regulations
• GDS training, four different systems : creating a PNR, reservations on all transport modes, queues, hotels, car rental,
fare quotes, ticketing, timatic
METHODOLOGY AND PROGRAMME
1) 11 full day courses (Saturday’s) to prepare students for successful participation to the international
IATA examination of March/ September :
- 4 days of theoretical training, based upon 2000 recent IATA-questions
- 4 days of TECHNICAL training with many practical exercises
- 3 days of PRACTICE, based upon the most recent IATA exams
IATA-examination in English, French, Spanish - Lectures in French + explanations in Dutch/English
2) 6 days TOTAL IMMERSION of non-stop training and exercises :
Exams and lectures in ENGLISH only
ONLY ACCESSIBLE TO :
• current students 2nd and 3rd year at Tourism Colleges (ESPACE FORMATION PME, partners & others)
• employees in the airline industry.
• employees in IATA licensed Travel Agencies
