PUPPET (Daniel Blomqvist)
Puppet est une légende du graffiti suédois. Il a commencé en tagguant son nom sur des bus
en 1983 en Suède et fait partie de la première vague de graffeurs européens. Il a atteint
une renommée internationale avec son travail : « I’II burn you all » en 1989 (Museum de
l’Histoire du Graffiti à New York).
Puppet a travaillé avec de nombreuses entreprises et partenaires (Marc Jacobs, Coca, MTV,
Nike, H&M). Il participe à des projets artistiques dans le monde entier, a notamment été invité
pour réaliser un mur à ART Basel Miami 2012, et aussi le décor de « Swan Lake » spectacle
de Fredrik « Benke » Rydman qui fut en tournée à Paris en octobre 2013. Puppet a
collaboré avec Jamie Oliver (food revolution day, 2013).
Agnès B a découvert son travail à Brooklyn et l’a invité pour un « private show » dans sa
galerie à Paris (2012). La même année il réalise une performance avec Quik à Opera
Gallery « make art not war », et la galerie Golles lui consacre un solo show en Autriche.
Son inspiration vient de la vie quotidienne, de la complexité de vivre en ce début de XXIe
siècle. Il travaille principalement à base de lignes (GRID STYLE), et nous explique sa
démarche:
«The grid is a visual structure that lies at the heart of contemporary art.
We can find traces of the grid back to the very beginnings of human civilization,or when it
came prominence in the early 20th century in the abstractions of the Russian
painter Malevich and the Dutch-born Piet Mondrian, who was widely considered the "most
modern" artist of his time.
For more then a decade I implanted the grids with my early 1983 graffiti writing days with the
complexity of living in the Now. Its a trademark for my work.
I simply avoid to reflect back to the geometry of the built environment and letting the Grids
be just a decorative effect slaved under the ruler. Its such a minor and secondary role. I try
to put it in a wider perspective, with colors in layers to move towards your inner thoughts
presents a sense of possibility, randomness and the infinite. Lets take the grids from constraint
to a liberation make you walk away with a sense rather then just a picture »

Puppet (Daniel Blomqvist) is a swedish graffiti legend, he started to write his name in buses in
1983 and took part of the first wave of european graffiti. He was internationally known with
"i'll burn you all" in 1989. (museum de l'histoire du graffiti à NY).
He has entered into a variety of partnerships, in context of significant including: Marc
Jacobs, Nike, Adidas, Absolut Vodka, H&M, Ralph Lauren…
He exhibited art all around the world., and among others has collaborated with Jamie Oliver
for his food revolution day 2013, painted the scene decour for the successful Fredrik “Benke”
Rydmans (Bounce) interpretation of the classic tale Swan Lake, which is on a world tour and
was at paris in october 2013. In 2012 he was invited to paint a big Mural for the ART Basel
Miami.
When Agnès B discovered his work in Brooklyn she invited him for a private show in her gallery.
He was at the Opera Gallery in Paris for a live art show “make art not war” (2012) together
with the Artist Quik, and had recently a solo show at gallery Golles in Austria.
He paints mostly grid style. Its an abstract sketchy style with a distinct recognizable unique
look, he paints it very fast and with feeling as an important.

GREEN FLOWERS ART est une galerie dédiée à l’art
contemporain, située 2, place Denfert-Rochereau à
Boulogne-Billancourt.
Elle soutient des artistes émergents et confirmés qui
travaillent dans un registre narratif et souvent intimiste.
La sélection allie plusieurs disciplines comme la
peinture, le dessin, la sculpture, la photographie, le
street art & graffiti.
La Galerie présente des expositions thématiques
collectives ainsi que des expositions personnelles. Elle a
en permanence des oeuvres de Saïdou Dicko, Thibaut
Duchenne, Assunta Genovesio,
Sophie Gerspacher,
Rémi Hamoir, Yuichiro Moriyama, Rada Tzankova,,
Thomas Verny, Miquel Wert, Quik, Lazoo et Puppet à
présenter aux visiteurs et collectionneurs.
