27.01 – ESTABLISHMENT OR CLOSURE

The establishment and administration of messes, canteens
and institutes, including the suspension and closing
thereof, shall be as prescribed by the Chief of the
Defence Staff.
L’établissement et l’administration des mess, des cantines et
des instituts, y compris la suspension de leurs activités et la
fermeture de ces lieux, sont régis de la manière prescrite par
le chef d’état-major de la défense.

The accounts of non-public property shall be audited in
the manner and at the intervals prescribed by the Chief of
the Defence Staff, but not less frequently than once
annually.

Where a mess, canteen or institute account owed by an
officer or non-commissioned member is overdue, the
commanding officer may order that the member
concerned be subject to an administrative deduction in an
amount sufficient to pay the account in full.
Lorsque le compte dû à un mess, une cantine ou un institut
par un officier ou militaire du rang est en souffrance, le
commandant peut ordonner que le militaire intéressé soit
assujetti à une déduction administrative d’un montant
suffisant pour acquitter entièrement le compte.
