Coralie is the first woman since 9 generations to run the family estate of 120
acres located in Courthézon few miles north-east of Châteauneuf du Pape. Her
entire vineyard, planted with vines of an average of 55 years old, is certified
organic since the vintage 2011.
Coralie is a “strong-minded and impressively talented woman” (WA) who
embodies perfectly the essence of the domain, “Galévan” meaning in local
dialect the balance between a know-how and freedom of creation.

The Vaucluse wine region,
left bank of the Rhône River in the western part of Provence. Mountains
occupy a significant proportion of the eastern half of the departement, with
Mont Ventoux (6,270 ft), also known as the “The giant of Provence”,
dominating the landscape. An optimum amount of sunshine and the dry and
cold Mistral wind allow the perfect conditions to grow vines.

CULTURE
Low yielding to assure an optimum maturity. Green harvest and manual leaf
thinning. Harvest is made in early morning to keep the freshness of the fruit
and slowly extract the aromas. Sorting tables are used.
VINIFICATION
Grapes are destemmed. Fermentation and maceration happens in
thermoregulated concrete tanks during 15 days. Manual punching of the cap
in order to extract soft but extended color and texture.
Bottled in the spring after harvest with incorporation of the “Jus de presse”
TASTING NOTES
Easy drinking with bright notes of raspberry and a lively spicy character.
Tannins are smooth and refined. Licorice and plum brought by the Syrah.
Provencal notes of rosemary and thyme with a refreshing and savory finish.
