Mourchon

"This is the best estate today in Seguret, and they continue to take the quality of their Cotes du
Rhone to an exciting level. Of course, Grenache is the base for these wines. They are gorgeously
made, pure, rich, beautifully textured, savory, and everything a wine in Provence should be. All
of this can be attributed to Englishman (sic – he is really Scottish) Walter McKinlay, who
purchased 40+ acres in 1998. It is amazing how quickly he has become a superstar in Seguret.
The aging process here is relatively simple, with the wines kept in both concrete vats and oak
casks. There is 100% destemming." (Feb 2008)

Chez Moi is a new venture from Chef Dominique Tougne, who was previously the head
chef at Bistro 110 since 1996, and now that he has opened this new restaurant he is
bursting with fresh ideas based on his background in traditional Alsatian cuisine. It is
sophisticated but casual, and according to the owner it is a "unique French bistro".
Having dined there ourselves, we can certainly say that it is a most welcome and
refreshing addition to the Chicago restaurant scene.
