Hello everyone,
For the fourth year, St. Luke’s Social Justice Youth Committee is planning on sharing the Joy of
Christmas by preparing our Christmas Socks filled with much needed and appreciated items such as a
warm hat, gloves and a scarf along with other necessities for those that are facing a cold winter without a
home. We will be delivering the packages to “Spectre de Rue”; they are an organization here in Montreal
that offers help to those with problems of addiction, homelessness as well as mental health.
For those receiving the socks, this will possibly be the only gift they get. It brings them a lot of joy
and they are grateful for the care and effort that went into preparing their special gift. We encourage all
of our Parishioners to participate as a family in our mission; maybe mom and dad could purchase the
socks, hat and gloves and the other family members could contribute with shampoo or soap etc... We will
be collecting the socks Nov.26th and 27th.
