Post-Doctoral position in organic Synthesis
Chembiol: Development of novel pericyclic reactions and their
application in the synthesis of alkaloids
A one year post-doctoral position is available for highly qualified researchers at the Institut de
Recherche en Chimie Organique Fine (IRCOF) of the University of Rouen.
The first part of the program aims at re-evaluating the synthetic potential of electronpoor aromatics. We propose to develop new [n+2] cycloaddition reactions involving the
dearomatization of these easily available planar substrates and allow the quick and efficient
generation of chiral 3D-structures of high added value in one step. Past results can be found

The goal of the second part of the post-doctoral position will be to develop an
intramolecular cascade sequence involving electron-rich oxazole partners to furnish
heterobicyclic systems, precursors of a family of alkaloids. For related publications in the

The candidates should be motivated and have a strong know-how in organic synthesis.
