This lecture will present a selection of some of our work in this area, which includes the design and use of synthetic bioactive derivatives for agrochemical applications,1 the exploitation of proteins to direct the synthesis of their own ligands or inhibitors,2 as well as the utilization of click-chemistry to easily and rapidly assemble objects with various interesting properties and potential applications (easy synthesis of neoglycoconjugates,3 design and synthesis of new bioactive molecules of potential pharmaceutical interest,4,5 assembly of bio-inspired artificial photosynthetic devices6, and labeling of living bacteria7).
