COMMENT PARTICIPER
Le concours Iglooswag invite les festivaliers à se vêtir de leur plus beau et/ou improbable style hivernal et
de venir se faire photographier au studio photo Matonvu. Des thématiques par week-end viendront nourrir
et encourager la créativité des participants qui sera évaluée par un jury trié sur le volet. Il y aura 5
finalistes par week-end sélectionnés par le jury (20 finalistes au total). Tous les finalistes qui respecteront
le règlement de participation recevront le prix des finalistes et deviendront éligibles aux trois grands prix.
Simple séance photo ou réel « happening » anthropologique, ce concours costumé contribue largement à
la magie de l’événement.
PARTICIPATION
Pour participer, rien de plus simple! À tous les soirs d’Igloofest, de 19h30 à minuit (00h30 le
vendredi/samedi), les participants devront se rendre au studio photo sur le site afin de se faire prendre en
portrait. Les participants devront poser avec attitude sous la supervision d’un directeur artistique. Si leur
photo a été choisie parmi les 5 meilleures du week-end, elle sera publiée dans un album de finalistes sur
le site Web de l’événement, ainsi que sur sa page Facebook, le mardi suivant leur shooting. Les
participants devront compléter leur inscription en s’identifiant sur leur photo publiée à titre de finaliste sur
la page Facebook d’Igloofest.
SÉLECTION DES FINALISTES
Pour chaque week-end, un jury déterminera 5 photos finalistes. Chaque juré devra noter les concurrents
selon une grille de pointage basée sur les critères suivants : Style, attitude, originalité de l’habit de neige,
agencements des accessoires et clin d’œil à la thématique du week-end!

GAGNANTS
Tous les participants qui se retrouveront sur les photos finalistes et qui auront respecté les consignes de
participation gagneront officiellement le prix des finalistes et seront invités à participer au défilé final
Iglooswag qui aura lieu le 18 février 2017, dans le cadre des activités du Nordikfest. L es participants au
défilé seront éligibles aux trois grands prix, qui seront octroyés par vote public mesuré à l’aide d’un
sonomètre. Les trois (3) finalistes qui réussiront à obtenir la plus grande lecture sur le sonomètre seront
les trois (3) grands gagnants, le grand prix étant accordé pour la plus haute lecture, le 2 e prix étant
accordé pour la 2e plus haute lecture, et le 3e prix étant accordé pour la 3e plus haute lecture.

HOW TO ENTER
The Iglooswag Contest invites festival-goers to dress up in their best and/or most improbable winteresque
style and to come get their picture taken in the Matonvu studio. Weekly themes will come nourish
participant’s creativity, which will be evaluated by a jury who will select five (5) finalists per weekend (20
finalists in total). All finalists who respect the contest rules and regulations will receive the Finalists’ Prize
and will become eligible for the three grand prizes. Weather you see it as a simple photo-shoot or a
legitimate anthropological experiment, this costumed contest is definitely a key component of the magical
event that is Igloofest.
PARTICIPATION
Want to take part in the action? Simple! Every night at Igloofest, from 7: 30 pm to midnight (12: 30 am
on Fridays and Saturdays), participants will need to make their way to the photo booth in order to get
their picture taken. Participants will have to pose with attitude under the supervision of an artistic director.
If their picture is selected as part of the top five (5) of the weekend, it will be published in a finalists’
photo album on the event’s website, as well as on it’s official Facebook page, every Tuesday following the
photo shoot. Participants will then have to tag themselves on their photo if it is published in the finalists’
Facebook album.
SELECTION PROCESS
Each weekend, a jury will determine five (5) finalists. Each juror will need to mark participants according
to a scoring grid based on the following criteria: Style, attitude, snowsuit originality, accessories and
respect of the weekend’s thematic!

WINNERS
All participants who will find their photo in the finalists’ album and who will have respected the contest
rules and regulations will officially receive the Finalists’ Prize and will be invited to participate in the Grand
Finale catwalk event which will be held February 18, 2017 as part of Nordikfest. All Grand Finale catwalk
participants will be eligible for the three grand prizes which will be allocated by public vote, measured
using a sonometer. The three (3) finalists who will generate the highest reading on the sonometer will be
named the three (3) grand winners; the 1st Place Prize being attributed for the highest reading, the 2 nd
Place Prize being attributed for the second highest reading, and the 3rd Place Prize being attributed for
the third highest reading.
