Job Offer Position: Location: Status: Business Development Manager in a Medium‐Size, Multi‐National Aerospace Firm Greater Montreal Area (Possibility to combine home office and on‐site office) Open position – urgent need ABOUT THE JOB DART has been growing at a rapid pace over the last few years. To sustain its rapid growth, the company is now committed to expand its international footprint and to introduce new product lines. DART is looking for a strong leader that can effectively manage the business development activities related to new markets and new products. The candidate will work with the senior leadership team to develop DART’s capabilities through organic growth and/or business acquisitions. In summary, the position will cover the following topics: ‐ New markets ‐ New acquisitions ‐ New product lines / core competencies ‐ New sales channels ‐ ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES ‐ Lead the international expansion strategy in mature and emerging markets (Asia, Latin America, Europe) ‐ Lead the business development strategy with large rotorcraft OEM’s like AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopters, and Eurocopter ‐ Lead the product development process in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Operations ‐ Support merger and acquisition activities to support the expansion of existing product lines and core competencies ‐ Support the preparation and negotiation of commercial offers to key customers ‐ Support Sales in the process of establishing regional offices around the world ‐ Conduct financial and economic analysis to support the business development strategy ‐ Manage the indirect sales channels (distributors) and the distribution agreements ‐ Become the subject‐matter expert in terms of competitive intelligence and industry knowledge QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED ‐ Years of experience: 7 to 10 years in a relevant industry like aerospace, high‐tech, and engineering services ‐ Education: Bachelor in administration, engineering or any related fields. MBA is an asset. ‐ Strong analytical capabilities in analyzing market trends, financial statements, fleet data, and large volumes of sales transactions ‐ Proven track record in a customer‐facing role ‐ Led business development initiatives and strategic planning activities ‐ Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for results ‐ Effective communication skills and ability to interact with the executive level (VP’s and President) ‐ Excellent skills in manipulating large amount of data in Excel, database and/or data warehouse ‐ Fluent in English. Fluency in French is a strong asset. Basic knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese and/or Mandarin is a nice‐to‐have.
