ABOUT THE JOB
The Production Planner is fundamental in creating the production scheduling system by creating,
tracking, and reporting on the current production status of released components. This includes
processing orders, the planning, releasing, and tracking of workflow from the engineering
department throughout the manufacturing process. The Production Planner serves as a liaison
between the Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Shipping/Receiving departments.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES





Check inventory levels to determine availability of requested merchandise
Receive drawing packages and requisitions from engineering, add planning data, and enters
information into MRP system, copies assembles, distributes and prepares drawing packets for
manufacturing.
Prepare shipping documents, confer with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common
carriers personnel to expedite shipments and verify orders for completeness
Initiate and create work orders
Compute total charges for merchandise or services and shipping charges
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
 Post-Secondary education relevant to the position
 Five years related experience in a manufacturing environment
 Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computer knowledge, phone skills,
 Accuracy and attention to detail
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 Must work well within a team environment with minimal guidance
 Ability to multi-task
 Fluent in French and English
