Norman Rockwell
Norman Rockwell was born in New York City in 1894. He was an American
illustrator. He showed a predisposition for drawing when he was a child.
By the age of 16, Rockwell dropped out of school to pursue his passion and
he went to the National Academy of Design and later enrolled at the Art
Student League of New York.
His career:
After his graduation Rockwell worked as an illustrator for Boys’ Life
magazine.
By 1916, he had painted his first cover for The Saturday Evening Post.
Rockwell painted 321 covers for the Post.

Il est né à New-York en 1894. N. Rockwell est un illustrateur américain. Dès
le plus jeune âge il a montré une prédisposition pour le dessin et la peinture.
A l'âge de 16 ans, Rockwell va dans une école pour poursuivre sa passion et
s’inscrit dans des écoles prestigieuses( National Academy of Design, Art
Student League de New-York ).
Sa carrière :
Après sa remise de diplôme, Rockwell travaille comme illustrateur pour le
magazine " Boy's Life". En 1916, il peint pour la première fois la couverture
du " The Saturday Evening Post ". Rockwell a peint 321 couvertures pour le
journal “The Post”.
