Michel L’Hébreux A teacher for 5 years, and School Director for 30 years, Michel L’Hébreux has been fascinated with the history of the Quebec Bridge since an early age. Beginning the research in 1970, he tracks, writes and tells this story through multiple articles, more than 1000 conferences, numerous radio et de television interviews, and documentaries. His first book on the Quebec Bridge is published in 1986, reedited in 2001 and in 2008. His 2005 publication for the younger crowd « Ce sera le plus grand pont du monde », is a success and translated in English. A founding member of the Committee for the protection of the Quebec Bridge, he receives in 2002 the award W. Gordon Plewes of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering in recognition of his contribution to the history of civil engineering in Canada.
