Mars 2016 - La garderie CREFL French Daycare

Mars 2016
Février a été un mois chargé pour les enfants à la garderie! Nous avons eu beaucoup de jours
spéciaux et les enfants étaient tous excités de participer à chacun d’eux! Nous avons
commencé le mois avec la semaine rouge et rose. De nombreux enfants ont pris cela très au
sérieux en montrant immédiatement aux éducatrices et aux autres enfants le vêtement rose ou
rouge qu'ils portaient.
La fête de la Saint-Valentin a été un énorme succès. Les enfants ont apprécié le château
gonflable, peindre leurs ongles et leur visage, les boucles d'oreilles collantes, les tatouages, les
activités artistiques, l’activité de science avec le bicarbonate de soude et le vinaigre ainsi que le
très délicieux yogourt glacé! Certains enfants étaient convaincus que c’était de la crème glacée.
Le 17 février, nous avons eu la journée habit formel à la garderie. Ce fut un énorme succès aux
yeux de quelques-uns des enfants et moins pour d’autre. Pour les enfants qui ont participé, ils
ont semblé aimer être chic pour toute une journée!
Le 23 février, comme vous le savez nous avons fait une journée smoothie à la garderie. Tous
les enfants ont apporté un fruit à mettre dans les smoothies et ensuite nous avons tous partagé
les smoothies ensemble. Les smoothies sont un grand succès, une excellente façon d'obtenir
vos enfants à manger toutes sortes de fruits et même des légumes. A la demande des enfants,
nous allons faire une autre journée smoothie ce mois-ci 
La dernière semaine de février a été très chargée, le 24 nous avons participé à la journée
contre l'intimidation en portant des chandails roses. Nous avons expliqué aux enfants pourquoi
nous portions les chandails roses, ce que signifie l'intimidation et ce que nous pouvons faire si
nous sommes témoin d'intimidation.
Et bien sûr, le 26 nous avons eu la journée pyjama qui a été un succès avec les enfants, ainsi
que le personnel. Qui ne veut pas porter son pyjama au travail ?!
Pour les deux premières semaines de mars, nous accepterons les dons de tous biens
essentiels pour les enfants des réfugiés syriens qui ont déménagé à Lethbridge. Tout ce que
vous pensez nécessaire pour les bébés ou les enfants jusqu'à l'âge de 5 ans sera accepté. Une
de nos anciennes employée, Mme Chahrazad, fait partie d'un groupe de cueillette de dons,
donc si vous avez quelque chose à donner apportez le à la garderie et nous allons lui
transférer.
** Rappel ** S'il vous plaît communiquez vos plans de service de garde pour les mois de juillet
et août à Stacey avant le 18 mars. Nous essayons de planifier notre budget pour la prochaine
année fiscale.
À venir en mars :
9 marsNous allons À Henderson Park. Les feuilles d'autorisation seront distribuées
pour obtenir vos signatures.
17 mars Journée Verte! Tout le monde porte du vert ! Nous aurons des activités vertes
pour la journée St. Patrick et des smoothies verts!
24 mars-
Chasse aux Œufs pour les enfants.
25 mars-
La garderie est fermée pour le vendredi Saint.
28 mars -
La garderie est fermée pour le lundi de Pâques.
March 2016
February was a busy month for the children at the daycare! We had many special days planned and the
children were all excited to participate in each one! We started the month with Red and Pink week from
the 8th-12th of February and many of the children took this very seriously, often showing up and
immediately showing the teachers and other children what piece of clothing they were wearing that was
either pink or red.
Our Valentine’s day party was a huge success. The children enjoyed the bouncy castle, having their nails
painted, having their faces painted, some stick-on earrings, some tattoos, some art activities, a science
activity with baking soda and vinegar, as well as some very yummy frozen yogurt! Some of the children
were certain it was ice cream.
On the 17th we had formal day at the daycare, this was a huge success in the eyes of some of the
children and others were not excited to dress up. For the children who were dressed up they seemed to
enjoy being fancy for the day!
On the 23rd, as you all know we had smoothie day at the daycare. All the children brought a fruit to put
into the smoothies and then we all shared the smoothies together. Smoothies were a big hit, a great
way to get your children to eat all kinds of fruits and even vegetables. At the request of the children we
will be doing another smoothie day this month 
The last week of February was extra busy, on the 24th we participated in Anti-Bullying day by wearing
pink shirts. We talked to the children about why we were wearing the pink shirts, what bullying means
and what we can do if we see bullying happening.
And of course on the 26th we had pyjama day, which was a hit with the children as well as the staff, who
doesn’t want to be comfy at work?!
For the first two weeks of March we will be accepting any donations of any essentials for children for the
Syrian refugees that have moved to Lethbridge. Anything you think might be needed for babies or
children up to the age of 5. One of our old employees Mme Chahrazad is part of a group collecting
donations so if you have anything to donate please bring it into the daycare and we will transfer it to
her:)
**Reminder**
Please let Stacey know by March 18th what your childcare plans are for the months of July and
August 2016, as we are trying to plan our budget for the next year.

We will be going to Henderson Park. Permission slips will be handed out for you to
March 17thGreen Day! Everyone wear green, we will have some green St. Patrick’s Day activities
planned for the children, and GREEN SMOOTHIES!
March 24th-
Easter egg hunt for the children.
March 25th-
The Daycare is closed for Good Friday
March 28th –
The Daycare is closed for Easter Monday.
