3. Public transportation
The nearest RER stations (express train; the line is “B”, southwards from the centre of Paris or from
Roissy-CDG airport) are (from north to south):
•
Massy-Palaiseau RER B
- Take the (long) footbridge westwards (direction “RER C”) over the tracks; once you are down
the stairs, you will see on your left a Café “Francesco” on the other side of the bus park. The
free Onera SHUTTLE leaves from here (on the bus park, in front of the Café) at 7:45, 8:10,
8:35, 9:00, 9:20, 9:40 (in the afternoon, leaves Onera at 15:25, 15:50, 16:15, 16:40, 17:00,
17:30, 18:00)
-
There are taxis in front of the Massy-TGV station (see map).
•
Palaiseau (not so convenient)
•
Palaiseau-Villebon
- To reach Onera by foot (about 15 min), take the footbridge over the tracks, follow the tracks
to the right (car park, then rue Antoine Arnault), take the rue Elisée Reclus on the left, and
once you have reached the plateau, turn right to the Chemin de la Hunière: Onera is on the
left after the turn.
-
Another option, if the ground is not too muddy, is to take the small trail through the forest
(Chemin du Pont de Bois), on the left after the graveyard (see map below). Shorter, but
steeper!
Caution: from Paris, take the RER B, direction “Massy-Palaiseau” (these trains have their last stop
there and will not continue to Palaiseau-Villebon!), or “Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuse”. In the
latter case, always check that the train reallystops at Palaiseau-Villebon (some trains
don’t…)!
Buses
•
From Paris-Orly airport, terminal “Ouest":
ALBATRANS line 91.10 to Massy-Palaiseau / Christ-de-Saclay / Saint-Quentin-en-Yveline,
departure at 8h05 and 9h05 at "porte H" (travel : ~ 40 min). There is also a bus stop at
terminal “Sud".
This bus also continues to the rond-point “Camille Claudel” at ca. 1.6 km walking distance
from Onera (use the water towers as a landmark!).
•
MOBICAPS Line 14: from Massy-Palaiseau RER and Palaiseau-Villebon RER to Onera. Two buses
per hour. Stop at “La Hunière Onera”, in front of Onera!
