Why We Are Doing It...
On January 26, 2007 Human Resources Administrator Tavey Tenge’s husband died leaving behind
Tavey and their young son Mason. This golf tournament is being held to raise money to help Tavey
and Mason in their time of need. The paragraph below was taken from Mike Tenge’s obituary.
Michael John Tenge, 23, born in Mesa, Arizona, died Friday,
January 26, 2007. Mike worked hard and played hard. He
enjoyed riding quads, snow-boarding, golfing, camping and
any other outdoor activities that came along. Mike was an
amazing father to son Mason and enjoyed teaching him to
play ball, swim and party. He was known to be the most dependable friend and was always there when you needed him,
no questions asked. His untimely death leaves many hearts
broken. His many friends and family will miss his friendly
smile and wonderful sense of humor. Mike will join his sister
Jodi Tenge in heaven. He is survived by his wife Tavey, son
Mason, parents Jerry (and Jheri) Tenge and Jacque (and
Rob) Holladay, sisters Michelle (and Don) Speaker, Malinda
(and Rand) Harris and Julie Tenge. His in-laws Shirley and
Lonnie McKellips and Jenny and Jerimiah Rasmussen also
survive him.
