Bonnie Tsai
Bonnie Tsai is a free lance trainer. She regularly runs
Teacher Training courses for Pilgrims in Canterbury
England.
She has trained in such humanistic approaches as
Suggestopdia with Dr. G. Lozanov, and is a Master
Practioner in N.L.P.
She trained in coaching skills with Robert Dilts. She holds a
degree from Harvard University Graduate School of
Education where she trained with Drs. Howard Gardiner
and David Perkins at The Harvard Graduate School of
Education.
She is a CELTA and CETLYL trainer.
She is co-author of Business English Recipes with Judith
Irigoin and Creative Resources with Judit Feher.
Her main area of interest is the many different ways people
can learn effectively.

Public Speaking and Sharing
All language teachers
Improving language teachers’ classroom skills
Participants will speak in front of the “class” and will
receive feedback for their style of teaching (verbal and nonverbal).
Each participitant will present an idea / activity which they
use successfully in class. After each presentation there will
be questions from the listeners, following which, feedback
will be given by the audience and GCz on how the ideas
were passed over to the listeners.
Each language teacher must prepare in advance in order to
give a 5 minute presentation to the other participants. The
speaker must also make it clear whether the members of
the “audience” are all language teachers or if they are to
assume the role of students (in which case the presentation
style will obviously differ).

Jayne Herzog
Jayne Herzog taught English at all levels for over 18 years before
taking up her current post as Area Manager for Oxford University
Press, Switzerland. After completing the Dip.TESOL in Barcelona in
2006, she became particularly interested in teacher training. With
the Oxford Professional Development workshops, Jayne can
indulge her passion for offering teachers useful, meaningful and

Sylvia Goetze Wake is Swiss-Canadian. Her credentials
include a degree in sociology, the Swiss Adult Trainer

Marcela de Meuron, de Buenos Aires, trabaja en el Centro de
lenguas de la Universidad de Lausanne desde 2001 y enseña
el español y el francés como lengua extranjera. Es máster ELE
por la Universidad de Barcelona. Tiene también un ‚brevet
federal‘ de Capacitación de adultos de la Confederación Suiza
y un diploma de Aptitud a la Enseñanza del Francés como
Lengua Extranjera del EFLE de la Universidad de Lausanne.
Ha participado como panelista y tallerista en los Encuentros
Prácticos de Barcelona (2012) y Würzburg (2013) y en las
Jornadas sobre Aspectos Lúdicos en la Enseñanza de Lenguas,
en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, ha presentado la
comunicación ‚ La dimensión afectiva y ELE: potenciando la
motivación de los aprendientes con un enfoque holístico‘
(2013).
El enfoque holístico está en relación con su experiencia como
profesora de inglés, lengua que enseñó en Lausanne de 1982
a 1995 a adultos en diferentes contextos.
Se formó inicialmente en International House en Londres
(1981) y en Ginebra (RSA TEFL, 1987) y posteriormente
continuó su formación con diferentes especialistas de la
corriente humanística: Lony Gold, David Kettlewell, Michael
Lawlor y June Mc Ostrich, Bonnie Tsai, Peter Wrycza y Bernard
Dufeu.
El enfoque holístico ELE es el resultado de un largo viaje por
las diferentes lenguas y públicos-meta.

‘La dimensión afectiva y ELE: facilitando el aprendizaje con un
enfoque holístico’
Profesores ELE y profesores de otras lenguas que dominan el
español.
• Sensibilizar a los profesores a una manera de trabajar
holística
• Estimular la creatividad de los participantes
a través de algunos recursos humanísticos:
música,visualización, etc.
• Motivar a los profesores a poner en práctica estas
tareas
• Conocer los fundamentos teóricos de este enfoque
Definiremos qué es la dimensión afectiva, su relevancia en el
aprendizaje de una L2 y su relación con el enfoque holístico.
Los participantes experimentarán este enfoque a través de
tareas de diferente tipología:
• un rompe - hielos con música y movimento:comenzar
un curso de manera novedosa,
• práctica gramatical con las inteligencias múltiples,
• desarrollo de la autonomía de los aprendientes con el
Portafolio de las lenguas,
• desarrollo de la autoestima de los aprendientes con un
cuento y actividades,
• evaluación con el corazón: terminar el curso de
manera novedosa.

John Mc Neill
Cambridge University Press
John Mc Neill has represented Cambridge University Press
in Switzerland for over five years. After completing a CELTA
in 1999 he had the privilege of contributing to professional
teaching teams in Poland, Indonesia, Australia, the UK and
Switzerland. On top of a 100% position with the Press, he
still finds the time to teach several lessons a week (just to
remember how rewarding and challenging the class room
is!). He completed a Masters in Education in 2010 with
particular interest in the practical application and benefits
of technology for teachers.

Le propos principal est de substituer le plaisir d’apprendre
(le chemin) à la maîtrise (le but), volontairement choisie
par l’enseignante comme impossible à atteindre… Il s’agit
donc expérimenter le droit à l’erreur et les blocages devant
l’apprentissage d’une langue inconnue (se mettre à la place
d’un migrant ou d’un nouvel apprenant)

John Potts
John Potts is a teacher trainer and teacher living in Zürich
who has given many ELT courses for learners and
workshops for teachers. A CELTA tutor since 1983, he’s
currently course director of CELTA and DELTA at TLC Baden,
and has been an authorised presenter for Cambridge
examinations since 1990. His regular page on analysing and
teaching language has appeared in English Teaching
Professional since October 1999. He also regularly works in
India, giving training to both teachers and NGO workers,
and also working with an education programme for slum
children in Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

Intégrer différents jeux pédagogiques dans son enseignement d'une langue
étrangère:
• jeux de plateau / jeux de rôles / jeux de cartes
et tenter d'en mesurer les plus-values en termes d'apprentissage
• Connaître, d'une manière générale, différents aspects historiques et
théoriques liés au domaine du jeu ainsi que le cadre conceptuel dans
lequel s'inscrit l'usage du jeu en pédagogie.

Concevoir des outils d’animation (dispositifs ludiques avec des
apprenants de langues étrangères, conception de grilles d'évaluation
formative)
•
Expérimenter des séquences didactiques incluant un jeu pédagogique
et en saisir, dans une progression didactique à court et moyen terme,
les plus-values d'un point de vue langagier.
Les participant-e-s se verront proposer un bref aperçu du cadre
conceptuel dans lequel s'inscrit le jeu dans l'enseignement et la
didactique d'une langue étrangère (développement historique et
théorique) sous forme d'exposé et d'analyses didactiques vidéo.
De plus, divers exercices pratiques de simulation d’activités sous forme
de jeux de rôle (et autres de jeu) seront proposés et permettront de
fixer certains éléments théoriques abordés précédemment dans une
pratique réelle.
Des temps accordés à des analyses de cas, des moments individuels de
conception et de réflexion et des discussions par paire et en groupe
agrémenteront également la séance.

Kathrin Hahn arbeitet seit 2011 als Referentin für Multimedia
und Fernlehre in der Zentrale des Goethe-Instituts München.
Dort ist sie für die Entwicklung neuer Kurskonzepte im Bereich
Online-Kurse und als Leitung des Projekts "iPad-Klasse" tätig. Im
Zusammenhang mit diesem Projekt entwickelt sie in enger
Zusammenarbeit mit den drei beteiligten Instituten Materialen
zur Integration von Tablets in den DaF-Unterricht.
Kathrin Hahn hat an der PH-Heidelberg zunächst Lehramt für
Grund- und Hauptschule studiert und anschließend einen
Magister im Bereich "Didaktik der deutsche Sprache und
Literatur" gemacht. Daneben hat sie im
Erweiterungsstudiengang Medienpädagogik studiert und eine
Zusatzqualifikation im Bereich "Deutsch als Fremdsprache"
