Ngaire Blankenberg est reconnue internationalement pour son travail novateur dans les musées et
la revitalisation d’espaces urbains. Elle est co-auteur, avec Gail Lord, de «Cities, Museums and Soft
Power» (AAM Press 2015) qui incite les musées
à jouer un rôle plus essentiel dans la création de
villes équitables et participatives. Elle est la co-fondatrice du Museum of AIDS en Afrique, un projet
qui collecte, préserve, interprète et se souvient de
l’histoire, la science et l’impact du Sida sur le continent.
En tant que Directeur européen et Consultant principal de Lord Cultural Ressources, le plus grand
musée au monde et agence de conseil spécialisée
dans le secteur culturel, Ngaire conseille les musées, le secteur privé et les gouvernements dans le

Ngaire enseigne fréquemment, écrit et intervient
lors de conférences sur les thèmes des musées,
villes, échanges culturels, et engagements communautaires. Elle a été éducatrice, poète de jazz,
réalisateur de dessins animés et de documentaires,
producteur de télévision, et elle est la mère de
deux adolescents. Elle est Sud-Africaine-Néo-Zélandaise-Canadienne-Anglaise et a vécu à Winnipeg, Christchurch, Durban, Johannesburg, Harare, Ottawa, Toronto, Paris et Barcelone où elle vit
actuellement.
Ngaire Blankenberg is internationally recognized
for her work planning innovative museums and revitalizing urban spaces. She is co-author, with Gail
Lord, of Cities, Museums and Soft Power (AAM
Press 2015) which urges museums to play a more
vital role in creating equitable, inclusive and empowering cities. She is co-founder of the Museum
of AIDS in Africa- a pan-African project which collects, preserves, interprets and remembers the history, science and impact of AIDS on the continent.
As European Director and Principal Consultant at
Lord Cultural Resources, the world’s largest museum and cultural professional practice, Ngaire
advises museums, the private sector and governments throughout the world on ways to develop
their cultural assets for public benefit.

Ngaire frequently teaches, writes and speaks at
conferences on the subject of museums, cities,
cultural change, and community engagement. She
has been a youth worker, jazz poet, cartoonist, documentary-maker and television producer, and is
the mother of two spectacular teens. She is South
African-New Zealander-Canadian-British and has lived in Winnipeg, Christchurch, Durban, Johannesburg, Harare, Ottawa, Toronto, Paris and Barcelona
where she is currently based
