Salut! Language: This week’s dictée will be a little bit different as students will be studying how to conjugate ER verbs in French. This should be a review for everyone. We will also be using different ER verbs in sentences, learning how to appropriately conjugate them mainly by looking at the pronouns, like “je, tu, il, elle, etc.”, that are used. Week: April 13 - April 17 une face = face/side Math: Students have a math test this week on addition and subtraction. Many students struggle to really understand what needs to be solved in a word problem, applying their thinking in order to decide what math needs to be used in order to solve the problem. This week we will start on some Geometry by reviewing 2D shapes and investigating their relationship with 3D ones. un arête = edge un sommet = vertex un prisme rectangulaire REMINDERS: • Pizza Lunch will be this Thursday, April 16th. • Please make sure you are checking your child’s agenda for any messages and/or reminders about upcoming events. Thank you for taking the time to initial the agenda, as this allows me to know you are reading and keeping track of it. • Fill out your child’s reading log in order to promote reading every day! I only count the minutes that have been initialed by someone at home. Check the number of minutes your child is reading and encourage them to practise pronunciation and intonation. Ensure your child’s understanding by asking them questions about things they have just read. Have them explain in their own words.
