Article I: Noms officielles
English: The Glendonian Tabletop Association
Français: La Société des jeux de société glendoniaise
Formes cortes: SJSG, GTA, GTA/SJSJ, SJSJ/GTA
Article II: Purpose
GTA/SJSG’s purpose is to provide the Glendon community a forum for the playing,
appreciation, critiquing and general enjoyment of board games, card games, and other
tabletop games.
The GTA/SJSG is also committed to providing as much of a bilingual environment as is
reasonably possible. Conversation and play in both official languages will be encouraged at
all gatherings, and members will be encouraged to use their preferred language at all
administrative meetings. The irony of writing this section only in English is not lost on the
club.
Article III: Membership criteria
Pawns/ Pions
Pawnship is open to any member of the Glendon community: faculty, staff, undergraduate
students, graduate students, and Keel Campus Students. Pawns may attend and participate
in any meeting, with the exception of meetings designated as administrative meeting.
Pawns are invited to attend any event hosted or co-hosted by SJSG/GTA provided they abide
by the York University Student Code of Conduct, as well as all local, provincial and federal
laws and bylaws.

Knightship is granted to any Pawn who crosses the board (by attending 2 meetings) and
expresses a desire to be knighted. Knight status will also be conferred upon all interested
members who attend the SJSG/GTA’s first meeting. Knights are expected to regularly attend
club gatherings, especially all administrative meetings. Only Knights have voting rights at
meetings. There is no membership fee required for an individual to become a Knight.
