‫تهدف مؤسسة ورد للثقافة و الفنون الى بناء جسور للتفاعل وتبادل اخلبرات بني‬
‫ كما تعمل على توطني‬،‫التجارب العربية املعاصرة فى الفن وفى الثقافة بشكل عام‬
‫ وتسعى داخل‬،‫حركة الفن العربي املعاصر داخل حركة الفنية العاملية املعاصرة‬
.‫الثقافة العربية لتجاوز الهوة القائمة بني الثقافة املرتبطة بالكلمات والثقافة البصرية‬
Our aim is to interact and make exchanges between different
Arabian experiences in contemporary art and culture. We are
concerned about putting the Arabian contemporary art into
the global movement.
We present the development of an Egyptian foundation
(EFPAC) which highlights (focus on) creativity. EFPAC was the
first to concentrate on correlating between the Egyptian art
movement and development by linking the artist with the
environment through creative and outstanding art workshops.
EFPAC organized various art exhibitions for remarkable artists
from all over the world at its gallery at First Mall, Giza. In addition
to several festivals, local and global competitions.

‫ وذلك عبر مبادرات غير معتادة لربط الفنان بالبيئة وتنظمي‬،‫املصرية ومسيرة التمنية‬
‫ كما نظمت العديد من املعارض للفنانني البارزين و‬،‫ورش فنية ذات طبيعة مبتكرة‬
‫ ونظمت العديد‬.‫الرواد محليا و دوليا فى قاعتها اخلاصة في مبنى الفرست مول باجليزة‬

Currently Ward’s foundation takes part at residential environmental project. It’s about 30000 m2 it attempts to join between
nature, architecture, art and culture and it’s a shot to create a
different society that interacts with new standards of its own.

Ward for Art and Culture is honored and pleased to be a part of
Marrakech Art Fair. We hope that this would be the beginning
of a better future between different experiences in Arabian
contemporary art and a solid relation between the Arabian and
global movement in contemporary art.

Le but de ‘Ward Culture & Art Center’ est de construire des
passerelles entre l’art contemporain arabe et la culture dans
son sens global, il a aussi pour objectif d’insérer l’art contemporain arabe au sein de la mouvance globale de l’art contemporain. La culture arabe a la force de dépasser les clivages car elle
est à la fois une culture visuelle et une culture des mots.
Ward Culture & Art Center reflète une évolution organique de
l’EFPAC, fondation égyptienne pour la promotion de l’art et sa
créativité, qui se concentre sur le lien entre les mouvements
artistiques et les processus de développement en Egypte, et ce
, à travers des initiatives originales liant l’artiste à son environnement, telles que l’organisation de workshops innovants
tout comme de nombreuses expositions en complément de
festivals.
Dans une volonté de faire interagir nature, architecture, art et
culture, la fondation Ward participe actuellement à des projets
environnementaux accompagnés de résidences d’artistes sur
30 000m². Une opportunité de créer une société différente créant ses propres normes.
We believe that modernism isn’t just high technology but the
devotion to art traditions.

‘Ward Culture & Art Center’ is honored and pleased to take a
part in Marrakech Art Fair as its first activity, and hopes that
this gesture beginning to move forward in the relationship
between the experiences of contemporary Arab art, and create
a solid relation between contemporary Arab and global art
movement.
We believe that contemporary can not be achieved by only
high technology or discovering new mechanisms for visual
creativity, but also through searching for power and
potential surprises within the traditional techniques like
painting, sculpture and photography, capable to express and
interact with the current moment.

Marrakech
‘Ward Culture & Art Center’ à le plaisir et l’honneur d’inaugurer
son activité en participant à Marrakech Art Fair. Un signal qui,
nous l’espérons, permettra de créer une relation pérenne entre
l’art contemporain arabe et l’art international.
Nous pensons que l’art contemporain ne se limite pas aux
nouvelles technologies ou la découverte de nouveaux
mécanismes de créativité visuelle, il tient aussi à la recherche
de surprises dans le cadre des techniques traditionnelles
comme la peinture, la sculpture ou la photographie,
techniques capables d’exprimer et d’interagir avec le moment
présent.

Sobhi Guergues
His works represent significant presence
in the contemporary Egyptian sculpture.
It blends the freshness and boldness
among popular and primitive imagination.
Although mystified by mass of injected
hardness, he is calling us to go beyond
them to feel the vacuum energy inherent
within, as if a grenade to music boxes
hidden, simple and complex at the same
time.
Personnalité éminente de la sculpture
contemporaine égyptienne, le travail
de Sobhi Guergues allie l’audace et la
fraicheur dans l’imaginaire populaire et
primitif. Bien que mystifié par l’apparente
dureté de son travail, il nous invite à aller
au-delà de cette dernière et de sentir
l’énergie d’un vide inhérent, comparables
aux fonds de résonance d’une musique
subtile, simple et complexe à la fois.

Since his return from Italy to Egypt in the
early nineties, he started to establish a
prominent position in the movement of
the contemporary Arab art. He is an artist
insists on the formulation of tales and
moving characters in a big space only
ruled by his large abstract experience.
We offer here some of his current work,
which has been presented with great success at the Venice Biennale 2009.
Depuis son retour d’Italie en Egypte dans
les années 1990, il occupe une place
importante dans l’art contemporain arabe.
Cet artiste s’imprègne de la formulation
des contes, peuplés de personnages qui se
déplacent dans un espace infini, gouverné
par une forte expérience abstraite.
Nous présentons ici quelques un de ses
travaux les plus récents dont ceux qui ont
rencontré un grand succès lors de la
biennale de Venise en 2009.
‫منذ رجوعه الى مصر عائدا من ايطاليا فى بداية‬
‫ بدأ عادل السيوي يحفر لنفسه موقعا‬،‫التسعينات‬
‫ وهو‬،‫بارزا في حركة التشكيل العربية املعاصرة‬
‫ ويحرك شخوصه‬،‫فنان يصر على صياغة احلكايات‬
‫داخل مساحات كبيرة يحكمها بخبراته التجريدية‬
،‫ وهنا نقدم بعض أعمال من جتربته احلالية‬،‫الواسعة‬
‫و التى عرضها بنجاح كبير فى بينالى فينيسيا‬
