À PROPOS DE NOTRE PARTENAIRE La personne choisie travaillera avec plusieurs partenaires, dont des conseils et des groupes communautaires œuvrant dans différents secteurs d'activité et d'intervention. Le titulaire du poste travaillera au sein d'une équipe de coopérants-volontaires aux qualifications complémentaires dans le but d'accroître l'impact de nos partenaires sur le terrain dans le domaine des moyens de subsistance, de l'éducation, des soins de santé et de la place des femmes dans la société. Les coopérants-volontaires devront se réunir périodiquement pour planifier et coordonner leurs interventions auprès de leurs différents partenaires. RÔLE DU COOPÉRANT-VOLONTAIRE La personne choisie travaillera de concert avec les communautés, les établissements de formation en soins de santé et des fournisseurs de soins de santé dans le but d'améliorer les résultats en santé maternelle. Cette personne devra : travailler à réduire les causes cliniques et communautaires de la mortalité infantile; contribuer à la diffusion des connaissances en santé reproductive chez les adolescents dans les hôpitaux et les écoles de formation en santé; renforcer les capacités des établissements de santé et des communautés au chapitre des soins de santé maternelle et infantile, particulièrement en ce qui a trait aux soins prénatals, néonatals et postnatals améliorer les méthodes de gestion de l'information du système de santé maternelle de la région www.cusointernational.org COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS Essentielles Diplôme en médecine, en sciences infirmières ou en sage-femmerie. Au moins cinq ans d'expérience clinique dans un service de santé maternelle ou d'expérience de travail dans un poste en santé publique axé sur la pratique clinique en santé maternelle. Souhaitables Expérience clinique ou formation pertinente (diplôme en hygiène et médecine tropicales, par exemple) dans un environnement aux ressources limitées. FORMATION ET SOUTIEN FINANCIER Le soutien financier que nous offrons couvrira le coût de votre affection à l’étranger et vous permettra d’avoir un mode de vie à la fois sain et modeste : participation à la journée d’évaluation de Cuso international (les candidats doivent payer les premiers 150 $ des frais de transport et d’hébergement les plus économiques); frais de déplacement et d’hébergement associés à la formation prédépart; billet d’avion aller-retour, visa et permis de séjour (dont un billet de retour en cas d’urgence familiale); frais de vaccination, médicaments et assurance maladie complète; hébergement sur le terrain; allocation de subsistance modeste, qui variera selon le pays d’affectation; allocation trimestrielle durant votre affectation une allocation modeste pour vos personnes à charge. ABOUT THE PARTNER ORGANIZATION Each volunteer will work with a range of partner organisations from councils to community groups covering a wide range of activities and interventions. The volunteer will work within a team of volunteers with complementary skills and will work collaboratively to increase the impact of the organisations in the areas of livelihoods, education or health provision and on increasing women's voice. Volunteers will meet regularly to plan and co-ordinate interventions in the various partner organisations. THE VOLUNTEER’S ROLE The volunteer will work with communities, health care training institutions as well as health care providers to improve maternal health outcomes. The role will include: Reducing community causes and clinical infant mortality; Contributing to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of Reproductive Health and Adolescents into training schools and hospitals; Strengthening the capacity of health facilities and communities on maternal and child health care and more specifically pre-, neo-and post-natal care; Improve the system of information management in the maternal health system of the area of intervention www.cusointernational.org SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential requirements Either medical, nursing or midwifery degree Clinical experience working within maternal health services or experience working within a clinically focused public health role in maternal health (minimum 5years experience). Desirable Clinical experience or qualifications relevant for working in a resource poor setting (eg. DTM&H) TRAINING AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT Our training and support package covers the costs of being an overseas volunteer, allowing you to enjoy a modest but healthy lifestyle while you volunteer abroad.
