Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Prescribed use
Das Produkt dient für den Betrieb in dazu geeigneten PDAs und dient dort als Kartenleser zum
Auslesen/Beschreiben von Speicherkarten (SD/MMC, Memorystick und Smartmedia).
The product serves for operation in suitable for that PDAs and serves there as a card reader
for reading out/writing of memory cards (SD/ MMC, memory stick and smart media).

Installation
• Schalten Sie Ihren PDA ein.
• Schieben Sie den Kartenleser korrekt in den CompactFlash-Einschub in Ihren PDA ein.
• Schieben Sie vorsichtig eine Speicherkarte in korrekter Orientierung in den Kartenleser.
Wenden Sie keine Gewalt an!
• Der PDA kann nun auf die Speicherkarte im Kartenleser wie auf eine CF-Speicherkarte bzw.
CF-Festplatte zugreifen.
• Switch your PDA on.
• Insert the card reader correctly into the Compact Flash card in your PDA.
• Insert carefully a memory card into the card reader in correct orientation. Do not use force!
• The PDA can access now the memory card in the card reader like a CF memory card or CF
hard disk.

Tipps und Hinweise
• Da der Kartenleser mit eingelegter Speicherkarte für den PDA wie eine CF-Speicherkarte
"aussieht", ist keine Softwareinstallation erforderlich.
• Zum Beschreiben von SD- oder Memorystick-Speicherkarten muss der Schreibschutz der
Speicherkarte ausgeschaltet sein.
• Der Betrieb des Kartenlesers in einem PCMCIA-Port eines normalen Notebooks (z.B. über
einen PCMCIA-CF-Adapter) ist möglich.
Verwenden Sie dabei jedoch mindestens Windows ME oder XP.
Bei Windows 98 oder 98SE ist der Betrieb u.U. nicht möglich.

• You don’t need to install any software because the card reader with inserted memory card
"looks like” for the PDA as a CF memory card.
• For writing on SD or memory stick memory cards you should disable the write protection of
the memory card.
• The operation of the card reader in a PCMCIA port of a conventional notebook (e.g. via
PCMCIA CF Adaptor) is possible.
But use for that at least Windows ME or XP.
In case of Windows 98 or 98SE the operation could be impossible.

Ce produit est conçu pour le fonctionnement dans les assistants personnels numériques (PDA)
et sert à la lecture/écriture des cartes mémoire (SD/MMC, smart card et smartmedia).

Installation
• Mettez en service votre assistant personnel numérique.
• Insérez le lecteur de cartes correctement dans l'enfichage du flash compact de votre assistant personnel numérique .
• Insérez avec précaution une carte mémoire dans le lecteur de cartes en l'orientant correctement. Ne pas user de force !
• Maintenant, l'assistant personnel numérique a l'accès à la carte mémoire comme à une carte mémoire CF ou à un disque dur CF.
Trucs et Astuces
• Puisque le lecteur de cartes avec carte mémoire introduite « ressemble » à une carte mémoire CF, l'assistant personnel numérique réussi à le détecter et une installation de logiciel n'est
pas nécessaire.
• Avant l'écriture des cartes mémoires SD ou smart card, supprimez la protection d'écriture.
• Le lecteur de cartes fonctionne dans un port PCMCIA d'un ordinateur portable normal (par
ex. via un adaptateur PCMCIA CF).
Mais dans ce cas, utilisez le système d'exploitation Windows ME ou XP.
Eventuellement, le lecteur de cartes ne fonctionne pas avec le système d'exploitation
Windows 98 ou 98SE
