These include: Thomas Sissoyan (from Batorum, Turkey), arrived April 4, 1908 (25 years old) Hovaness Sissoyan (from Marseille, France), arrived Nov 23, 1920 (25 years old) Hacgas M. Baghdad / Middle- East branch MARKAR Sosoian seems to be the patriarch of this branch, but it is very unclear. This is not Markar, son of Garabet He is the Confirmed brother of Vahan, ancestor of East-Armenian / Georgian / European branch Likely ancestor of Masis Vartan Sosoian, born in Baghdad in 1968 – P.O Box 941605, Amman 11194 Jordan. Another includes Karnig Sosoian, who lives in Jordan; grand father name: Tavit / father's name: Vartkes, originally from Iraq. Istanbul branch Name unknown - Confirmed brother of Vahan, ancestor of East-Armenian / Georgian / European branch. He died in 1920-21 without children / Inheritance was lost. Fedeyeen branch SHASHO Sosoyian (born in Sevkar, 1861) – Fedayeen (revolutionary militia) leader He took part in the Khanasor expedition as a corporal, and other expeditions in the 1890s. In 1899, he commands a unit of 15 men sent from Baku to Van (lost 3 men). CONCLUDING REMARKS It is likely that Garabet and Boghos were brothers, and cousins to Markar, Vahan and the unknown ancestor of the Istanbul branch. The relationship to members of the USA branch (Sahag, also born in VAN) and other branches remains unclear. TREMBLAY ROOTS The Tremblay name is the most widespread French name in Québec and North America. It dates back to Medieval France and the year 1167, when the name Gervais du Tremblay was written for the first time. All the Tremblay’s in North America can trace their roots to the same Pierre Tremblay, born in 1626 in Randonnai (France) and arriving in New France in 1647. He died in L'Ange Gardien, QC in 1687. His five boys (total of twelve children) and their children spread his name throughout North America.
