How do you get to Cottbus?
The fastest way to get to Cottbus by car is by taking the A13 and A15. Take exit
Cottbus-West. Continue towards the city centre and follow the signs to the university.
If you are travelling by plane, you will have to transfer to the railway network. The main
airport in Germany is Frankfurt/Main. Airports in Berlin are closest to Cottbus.
If you arrive in Berlin you can take the direct train connection Berlin-Cottbus with the
train RE2. The approximate time of travel from Berlin to Cottbus is 1 hour 40 minutes.

Cottbus has direct links to Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden and Wroclaw (Poland).
In Cottbus…
When you arrive at the main station in Cottbus you can reach the university with bus line 16.
or you take the tram:
Line 1 - Departure in front of main station
Line 4 - Departure from Thiemstraße,
to the stop “Stadthalle”. From there it will take approximately five minutes to walk to campus.
For those who wish to walk from the train station to the university, the walk will take
between 20 to 30 minutes. When you follow the main road (Bahnhofstraße, Karl - Marx Strasse) it is easy to find the university.
