Deutsch-Britischer Doppeldiplom-Studiengang International Business
German-British Double Degree Programme International Business (IBU) The undergraduate study programme is divided into a foundational and an advanced study period. The foundational study period comprises two years of which one has to be studied at the FHW Berlin, and the other at the APU Cambridge. This foundational stage awards the intermediate diploma (Vordiplom). The advanced study period also lasts two years (4 semesters) including two obligatory terms for internships. At least one of the internships has to be completed abroad in an English speaking country or surrounding. The second year of the advanced study period includes two semesters for in-class learning, one at the FHW Berlin and the other at the APU Cambridge. The subject-related structure of the in-class learning is as follows: The foundation course includes four required courses that are related to international aspects. The specialisation course comprises required modules such as Marketing or Finance and Controlling. The study programme completes with a thesis. Students have the choice to either write their thesis in Berlin or in Cambridge. Since WS 2001/02, the IBU study programme is modularised and assessment is measured in a credit system. The requirements of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) are thus fulfilled. Deutsch-Britischer Doppeldiplom-Studiengang (IBU) German-British Double Degree Programme (IBU) The study programme “International Business” (IBU) is an internationally integrated study programme; IBU is a joint programme between the Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft (FHW) Berlin and the Anglia Polytechnic University (APU) Cambridge, UK.
