New Trading Architecture Eurex T7 – EEX Migration Schedule
Dear Trading Participants,
Following our customer information 2012-11-15, we can now provide you with an update regarding the schedule for the migration to the new Eurex T7 trading architecture below.
On 2 December 2013, EEX will introduce the new Eurex T7 trading platform. In line with this,
all EEX Derivatives Market products will be fully migrated from the current Eurex production
environment to the Eurex T7 production environment until that time. However, this also means
that the EEX products can be traded in the current Eurex production environment for the last
time on 29 November 2013.
The Eurex T7 simulation environment is already available with a broad range of EEX products.
The complete migration of all EEX products to the new system’s simulation environment is
scheduled for 15 October 2013.
All EEX trading participants will be contacted directly to provide support for the technical transition to the T7 production and simulation environment. Depending on the trading participants’
current access version, the following technical requirements are necessary for Eurex T7:
Customer Group 1: Trayport TechnologieSM
Customers who only trade via the Trayport TechnologieSM, register trades only via the
ComTrader, do not use any EUREX T7 GUI and do not operate any interfaces of their own do
not have to implement any changes to their systems.
Customer Group 2: WebAccess
Customers who take part in trading with the help of the new EUREX T7 GUI, retrieve reports
via the Common Report Engine (CRE) and do not operate any third-party software using the
current version of the interfaces Values API or ETS, will not need any profound changes to

their infrastructure. Instead, the use and administration of the T7 GUI will become simpler
through the use of the public/private key (SSL) procedure which will replace the current token
solution. Apart from the one-off generation of the necessary pair of keys and the integration into their own system, the trading participants do not have to make any further changes.
Please note: For EEX members with a member ID of the form ***EX, the public SSL key generated by the customer will be uploaded to the Member Section by the EEX Member Readiness Team in line with this. Please make sure that you only provide the public key to us to this
end. The private key must be held exclusively by you.

Customers who use their own MISS infrastructure (without Values API) at present and want to
connect their traders via the T7 GUI in the future, can decommission their MISS infrastructure
after the migration. However, to this end it is absolutely necessary to determine in advance
how many traders are to be connected to their company‘s current network link via the T7 GUI.
Moreover, it has to be checked whether the bandwidth of your leased line/VPN connection or, if
the Open Internet is used, whether the connection bandwidth is sufficient for the requirement or
whether it has to be expanded. In this context, a bandwidth use of approximately 1 Mbit line
capacity for three T7 GUIs used simultaneously has to be assumed.
Please remember that lead times might arise for the changes to your leased line/VPN connection capacity after such have been ordered. Depending on the respective location of your connection facility, these lead times can be three months or more.
Customer Group 3: Third-party software
Alongside the native T7 GUI solution, this customer group also uses third-party software by
various vendors which e.g. still uses Values API or ETS at present, in addition.
Upon the introduction of the new T7 trading architecture, applications using Values API or ETS
have to be fundamentally adjusted. These adjustments can directly or indirectly cause changes

to the respective customer front-ends and/or the downstream functionalities of the third-party
software/applications.

In trading applications by third-party software vendors the VALUES API or ETS interface is
replaced with the Enhanced Trading Interface (ETI) and Fix Gateway (via ETI) interfaces.

There are new market and reference data interfaces.
In order to ensure a smooth connection of your current interfaces to the new trading architecture the interface language used by the customers will also have to be switched from Values
API to Eurex FIX and/or to Eurex FIXML for clearing functions. For this reason, we would like
to ask you to contact the Member Readiness or Sales Team of EEX as well as your third-party
software vendor as soon as possible if you are using own (Values API) applications on the interfaces referred to above.

Neue Handelsarchitektur Eurex T7 – EEX Ablauf der Migration
Sehr geehrte Handelsteilnehmer,
Bezug nehmend auf unsere Kundeninformation 2012-11-15 erhalten Sie hiermit ein Update
zum Ablauf der Migration auf die neue Eurex Handelsarchitektur T7.
Am 2. Dezember 2013 führt EEX die neue Handelsplattform Eurex T7 ein. Dementsprechend
werden alle EEX Terminmarkt-Produkte zu diesem Zeitpunkt vollständig vom bisherigen Eurex
Produktivsystem auf die Eurex T7 Produktionsumgebung übertragen. Das bedeutet gleichzeitig, dass EEX-Produkte am 29. November 2013 letztmalig in der bisherigen Eurex Produktionsumgebung handelbar sein werden.
Die Eurex T7 Simulationsumgebung steht bereits jetzt mit einer großen Anzahl an EEXProdukten zur Verfügung. Die vollständige Migration aller EEX-Produkte auf das neue System
in Simulation findet am 15. Oktober 2013 statt.
Zur Unterstützung des technischen Übergangs in die T7 Produktiv- und Simulationsumgebung
werden alle EEX Teilnehmer direkt kontaktiert. Folgende technische Voraussetzungen, abhängig von Ihrer Zugangsvariante, sind für Eurex T7 erforderlich:
Kundengruppe 1: Trayport TechnologieSM
Kunden, welche ausschließlich über Trayport TechnologieSM handeln, Geschäfte über den
ComTrader registrieren, keine EUREX T7 GUI verwenden und keine eigenen Interfaces betreiben, müssen keine Veränderungen an Ihren Systemen durchführen.
Kundengruppe 2: WebAccess
Kunden, welche mit Hilfe des neuen EUREX T7 GUI am Handel teilnehmen, ihre Reports über
die Common Report Engine (CRE) abrufen und keine Third Party Software unter der momentanen Verwendung der Schnittstellen Values API oder ETS betreiben, benötigen keine tiefgreifenden Veränderungen an Ihrer Infrastruktur. Vielmehr vereinfacht sich die Benutzung und

Administration der T7 GUI durch den Einsatz des Public/Private Key (SSL)- Verfahrens anstatt
der aktuellen Token-Lösung. Neben dem einmaligen Erzeugen der benötigten Keypaare und
der Integration in das eigene System sind keine weiteren Umstellungen notwendig.
Bitte beachten: Für EEX Member mit einer Memberkennung der Form ***EX wird der durch
den Kunden erzeugte Public SSL Key durch das EEX Member Readiness Team entsprechend
in die Member Section eingespielt. Bitte stellen Sie uns hierfür nur den Public Key zur Verfügung! Der Private Key darf sich ausschließlich in Ihrem Besitz befinden.

Kunden, welche aktuell eine eigene MISS Infrastruktur einsetzen (ohne Values API) und ihre
Händler zukünftig über die T7 GUI anbinden wollen, können ihre MISS Infrastruktur nach der
Umstellung außer Betrieb nehmen. Hierzu ist es allerdings zwingend erforderlich, im Vorfeld zu
ermitteln, wie viele Händler mit der T7 GUI an die aktuelle Netzwerkverbindung Ihres Unternehmens angebunden werden sollen. Es ist zu überprüfen, ob die Bandbreite Ihrer Leased
Line/VPN Anbindung oder bei Nutzung des Open Internet die Anbindungsbandbreite für die Erfordernisse ausreichend ist oder erweitert werden muss. Dabei ist von einer Bandbreitennutzung von rund 1Mbit Leitungskapazität für drei gleichzeitig genutzte T7 GUIs auszugehen.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass für die Veränderung Ihrer Leased Line/VPN Anbindungskapazität entsprechende Bereitstellungszeiten nach der Beauftragung auftreten können. Diese können je
nach Lokation Ihrer Anbindung drei Monate oder länger in Anspruch nehmen.
Kundengruppe 3: Drittanbieter-Software
Von dieser Kundengruppe wird neben der Benutzung der nativen T7 GUI- Lösung zusätzlich
Third Party Software unterschiedlichster Vendoren eingesetzt, welche beispielsweise aktuell
noch Values API oder ETS verwendet.
Mit Einführung der neuen Handelsarchitektur T7 müssen Applikationen, welche Values API
oder ETS verwenden, grundlegenden Anpassungen unterworfen werden. Diese Anpassungen

können direkt oder indirekt zu Veränderungen in den jeweiligen Kundenfrontends bzw. den
nachgelagerten Funktionalitäten der Third Party Software/ Applikationen führen.

Bei Trading Applikationen von Third Party Software Vendoren wird die Schnittstelle
VALUES API oder ETS durch die Interfaces Enhanced Trading Interface (ETI) und Fix Gateway (über ETI) ersetzt.

Es gibt neue Markt- und Referenzdaten Interfaces.
Um eine reibungslose Anbindung Ihrer aktuell verwendeten Schnittstellen an die neue Handelsarchitektur sicherzustellen ist es auch nötig, die von den Kunden verwendete Schnittstellensprache von Values API auf Eurex FIX bzw. für Clearing Funktionen auf Eurex FIXML umzustellen. Bitte setzen Sie sich daher möglichst bald mit dem Member Readiness oder Sales
Team der EEX und Ihrem Third Party Software Vendor in Verbindung, wenn Sie eigene (Values API) Applikationen auf den oben genannten Schnittstellen einsetzen.
