CASID was founded as „Interest Group for Chemical Custom Synthesis in Germany“ in
2000 and became a registered society in 2009.
Custom Synthesis, the implementation and improvement of a proprietary customer
method within our facilities, is a challenging segment of the fine chemical industry and
requires a particularly intensive response to customer requirements.
The German custom synthesis branch has acquired an international recognition due to
the high quality of its chemical expertise and the extraordinary level of understanding
our customer‘s needs.
To further enhance this reputation, German custom synthesis companies have joined
forces in the CASID. They all have individual technology platforms and their own
specific know-how.
Our members include divisions of large companies alongside many independent
medium-sized and smaller firms. All volume needs of products can be tailor-made to
specific customer requirements, from a few milligrams for research purposes through
many hundred tons of products per year.
The member companies share common interests in the CASID to improve the
services they offer to their customers. CASID e.V. therefore makes an active
contribution to ensure that the global customer base continues to hold Germany
in high esteem as an important country for custom synthesis.

Our members belong to the specialty and fine chemicals branch. They are successful
market players and share a long tradition and breadth of experience together with
extensive technology and analytical capabilities in the field of chemical custom synthesis.
In addition, our member companies maintain an extensive network with contacts to
organisations and individuals whose experience, specialized know-how and personalities are integrated into our activities for the benefit of our customers.
