Mechanism
Diveen® has been designed to support the interior
vaginal wall in the area below the bladder neck.
During an effort the weight of the bladder puts
pressure on the flexible ring of the device and
consequently the rigid part will ensure closure
of the urethra, thus reducing the risk of urinary
significantly. 7

• Do not flush down the toilet.

1. Before using the device
- Wash your hands thoroughly and remove the device and applicator from their
wrapper.
- Get into a comfortable position: either standing with legs slightly bent, or sitting or
lying down.
2. Device application
The device can be inserted like a tampon.
n Use of the device with applicator
For your convenience you can use the applicator in the box to insert the device.
Preparation of the device
- Remove the inner push rod from the applicator tube. 1
- Gently pinch the ring of the device in order to bring its halves together 2 , insert it
into the applicator tube and push it with your index finger until it reaches the tip of
the ring just beneath the rounded tip of the applicator tube. 3
- Place the push rod again into the applicator tube to get the device ready for insertion. 4
Insertion of the device
- Insert the tip of the applicator tube approx. 2 cm into the vagina 5 and then push
the device itself with the applicator into the vagina (same method as a tampon
applicator). 6
- Once inserted the device spontaneously takes the right position. 7
- Remove and wash (with water / soap) and dry the applicator tube and push rod; store
it in a clean and dry place for the next use.
n Using the device without applicator
- Gently pinch the ring of the device in order to bring its halves together 2 and gently
insert it into the vagina until it spontaneously takes the right position.
- Make sure that the proximal end of the removal cord remains outside.
The device can be left in place all day, even during urination.
3. Removal of the device
• Do not leave the device in the vagina for more than 24 hours.
• Do not use the device together with topical drugs or medicinal preparations.
• The device can be used twice.
• Clean only with soap and water. Do not use detergents, laundry or dish washer
products.
• Before any re-use, wash (with water / soap) and dry the device and the applicator.

women with urine loss, especially from stress or
mixed urinary incontinence.
Precautions
- To remove the device from the vagina, gently pull on the removal cord.

- The material of the device is not recyclable - discard it with household waste.
Adverse Effects
• In case of persistent discomfort or itching, remove the device immediately
and seek medical advice.
Contraindications
• Only to be used by adults from 18 years old.
• The device should not be used during pregnancy.
• After childbirth, wait for the complete healing of sutures
and the last loss of blood before using the device.
• The device should not be used during your period.
• The device should not be use during sexual intercourse.
• If you are a virgin, seek medical advice before using the device.

What can I do if the device is not properly in place?
- The device is available in two sizes: Small and Medium. Make sure that you have
the chosen the right size.
- If the device has slipped slightly and makes you feel uncomfortable, you can
reposition it through pushing it gently inward with your index finger.

Can the device get lost in my body?
- No, the opening at the top of the vagina is too small to lose the device (same
system as a tampon).
- If the removal cord is broken, consult your doctor immediately.

- No, the device stays in place in the vagina and thus remains separated from the
urethra and anus.

Diveen® est un dispositif médical intravaginal, indiqué
pour les femmes souffrant de fuites urinaires dues à
une incontinence urinaire d’effort pure ou mixte.
Fonctionnement
Ce dispositif est conçu pour soutenir mécaniquement
la paroi supérieure du vagin dans la zone située sous
le col vésical. Lors d’un effort, le poids de la vessie
va venir exercer une pression sur l’anneau souple du
dispositif qui, par un effet de levier, va soutenir le col
vésical et ainsi réduire efficacement le risque de fuite
urinaire. 7

1. Préparation
- Lavez-vous soigneusement les mains et retirez le dispositif et son applicateur de leur
sachet protecteur.
- Installez-vous dans la position qui vous semble la plus confortable : debout les jambes
légèrement pliées, accroupie, ou allongée.

2. Application du dispositif
Le dispositif se met en place comme un tampon vaginal.
n Utilisation avec applicateur
Pour une introduction facilitée, vous pouvez utiliser l’applicateur mis à votre disposition
dans la boîte.

Préparation du dispositif
- Séparez le tube applicateur du poussoir. 1
- Pincez l’anneau du dispositif afin d’en rapprocher les deux côtés 2 et introduisez-le dans
le tube applicateur avec l’index jusqu’à ce que le bout de l’anneau souple touche le bout
arrondi du tube applicateur. 3
- Positionnez le poussoir dans le tube applicateur pour préparer l’introduction. 4
Introduction du dispositif

- Insérez le tube applicateur de deux centimètres dans le vagin 5 , puis appuyer sur le poussoir
pour positionner le dispositif dans le vagin (même procédé qu’avec un tampon hygiénique
avec applicateur). 6
- Le dispositif se met en place naturellement. 7
- Retirez alors le tube applicateur avec son poussoir et veillez à bien les laver (eau/savon
neutre), séchez et gardez dans un endroit propre et sec pour la prochaine utilisation.
n Utilisation sans applicateur

- Pincez l’anneau du dispositif afin d’en rapprocher les deux côtés 2 et insérez le doucement
dans le vagin jusqu’à ce qu’il se mette en place naturellement.
- Veillez à ce que le cordon de retrait reste à l’extérieur.
Le dispositif est maintenant en place dans le vagin et va permettre de réduire significa­
tivement le risque de fuite urinaire.
Le dispositif peut rester en place toute la journée, y compris pour uriner.

3. Retrait du dispositif
• Ne pas laisser le dispositif dans le vagin plus de 24 heures.
• Ne pas utiliser de médicaments locaux en même temps que le dispositif.
• Le dispositif peut être utilisé deux fois.
• Nettoyer uniquement à l’eau et au savon neutre. Ne pas utiliser ni détergents,
ni produits de lessive ou de vaisselle.
• Avant toute réutilisation, laver (à l’eau et au savon) et sécher le produit
et l’applicateur.
- Pour retirer le dispositif du vagin, tirez doucement sur le cordon de retrait vers l’extérieur
jusqu’à récupération du dispositif.
- L avez (eau/savon neutre), séchez soigneusement le dispositif et gardez-le à un endroit propre
et sec pour une deuxième utilisation.

Effets indésirables
• E n cas de gêne ou d’irritation persistante ou de saignement, retirez le dispositif
sans tarder et consultez votre médecin.
Contre-indications
• Réservé à l’adulte à partir de 18 ans.
• Ne pas utiliser le dispositif au cours de la grossesse.
• Après un accouchement, attendre la cicatrisation des sutures éventuelles
et la fin des pertes de sang avant d’utiliser le dispositif.
• Ne pas utiliser le dispositif en période de règles.
• Ne pas garder le dispositif pendant les rapports sexuels.
• Pour une première utilisation, en cas de virginité, consultez votre médecin.

• P our une prise en charge optimale, n’hésitez pas à parler à votre médecin de
votre incontinence.
Réponses à vos questions
Que faire si le dispositif ne tient pas bien en place ?
- Le dispositif étant disponible en deux tailles : small et medium, assurez-vous
d’avoir choisi la bonne taille adaptée à votre morphologie.
- Si le dispositif a légèrement glissé rendant son port inconfortable, vous pouvez le
repositionner en le repoussant doucement vers l’intérieur avec l’index.
Le dispositif peut-il se perdre dans mon corps ?
- Non, l’extrémité du vagin est beaucoup trop petite pour que le dispositif se perde
(même système qu’un tampon périodique).
- Si jamais le cordon de retrait se casse, consultez sans tarder votre médecin.
Dois-je retirer le dispositif pour aller aux toilettes ?
- Non, le dispositif reste en place dans le vagin, il est maintenu dans le vagin qui
est séparé de l’urètre et de l’orifice anal.
