Foreword
Saubere Luft ist ein elementares Grundbedürfnis
des Menschen. Luftverunreinigungen entstehen
im täglichen Leben durch menschliche Aktivitä­
ten, unter anderem bei der Herstellung und Nut­
zung von Produkten. Zahlreiche Schadstoffe in
der Luft sind die Folge. Luftgetragene Emissionen
haben Auswirkungen auf Gesundheit und Klima.
In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten konnte der Aus­
stoß von Schadstoffen in die Atmosphäre jedoch
massiv gesenkt werden. Verbesserte Prozesse,
neue Materialien und der Einsatz von Maßnah­
men zur Abluftreinigung und Abgasnachbehand­
lung sorgen dafür, dass heute auch an Industrie­
standorten die Luft spür- und messbar besser ist.
Clean air is a fundamental human need. Yet air
pollution is principally caused by human activities
such as the manufacture and utilization of products. These activities generate a whole range of
pollutants. Airborne emissions influence health
and climate. In the past few decades emissions
which pollute the atmosphere have been massively reduced. Improved processes, new materials
and the application of measures for exhaust air
treatment and emission control ensure that today
the air is noticeably and measurably cleaner at
industrial production sites.

Umwelttechnologien, feiert in diesem Jahr ihr
50jähriges Jubiläum.
IFAT, World‘s Leading Trade Fair and international
meeting point of environmental technologies, celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Zu diesem Ereignis präsentiert sich die Fachabtei­
lung Luftreinhaltung des VDMA erstmalig
gemeinsam mit seinen Mitgliedsunternehmen in
Halle B3, Stand 117/216.
For the upcoming event in 2016, the Air Pollution
Control department of VDMA and its member
companies present their portfolios together for the
first time time in Hall B3, 117/216.
Unter dem Claim „Luftreinhaltung ist mehrWert!
Präventiv. Integriert. Rückgewinnend.“, werden
Themen der Luftreinhaltung erlebbar. Hierfür
steht der Live Garden der Ausstellergemein­
schaft. Neben der Präsentation der einzelnen
Unternehmen am Hauptstand konzentriert sich
dieser Bereich darauf, dem Messebesucher wich­
tige Themen der Luftreinhaltungsbranche wie
Erfassung, Abreinigung, Explosionsschutz, staub­
freie Entsorgung, Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz,
Energieeffizienz, Wärmerückgewinnung sowie
Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutz basierend auf
geltendem Ordnungsrecht, anschaulich zu
präsentieren und auf spannende Weise näher
zu bringen.

control issues can be experienced onsite. The Live
Garden of the VDMA member companies is
designed to make air pollution control technology
understandable and entertaining. Apart from the
individual presentation of the member companies
in the main pavilion, the Live Garden shows the
visitors of the trade fair important air pollution
control issues such as collection elements, dedusting, explosion protection, dust free removal, safety
at the workplace, energy efficiency, heat recovery
as well as health and occupational safety based on
current regulations.

VDMA Air Pollution Control department
In die Fachabteilung Luftreinhaltung des VDMA
sind derzeit 100 Unternehmen eingebunden, die
vor dem Hintergrund des Arbeitsschutzes und
Umweltschutzes Absauganlagen und -geräte für
unterschiedlichste Anwenderbranchen herstel­
len. Der Industriezweig Luft- und Entstaubungs­
technik entwickelt permanent innovative techni­
sche Lösungen zur Einhaltung der gesetzlichen
Vorgaben. Er bietet eine breite Palette von Mög­
lichkeiten zur Abscheidung von Stäuben, Rau­
chen, Aerosolen und Gasen.
The department of Air Pollution Control is comprised of around 100 companies that manufacture
extraction systems and devices for a wide range of
user sectors, particularly occupational health and
safety and environmental protection. The industrial sector of ventilation and dust removal technology is constantly developing innovative technical solutions that make it easier to meet existing
legal requirements. They offer a wide range of
possibilities for removing dust, smoke, aerosols
and gases.
Einen Schwerpunkt sieht die Fachabteilung Luft­
reinhaltung in der Aufklärungs- und Öffentlich­
keitsarbeit. Sie gibt eine große Anzahl von Publi­
kationen heraus, die sich an die Kunden der
Mitgliedsunternehmen wenden und sie in tech­
nischen Fragestellungen und bei der Auslegung
von Regelwerken unterstützen. Diese Veröffentli­
chungen entstehen ausschließlich unter aktiver
Beteiligung der VDMA-Mitgliedsunternehmen
unter dem Motto „Von der Praxis für die Praxis“.
The key aspects of the specialist department Air
Pollution Control are raising awareness and
public relations. The department issues a great
number of publications addressing their members‘
customers to help both with technical questions
and the interpretation of rules and standards.
All of these publications were created with the
active help of employees of member companies
under the slogan of „Practical help from
practical experience“.

Eine Vielzahl an Anwendungsgebieten

Glaswolle, Keramik, Feuerfestprodukten, die
Trocknung von Klärschlamm bis hin zu Entstau­

A broad range of application areas
The application areas range from the production
of chemical raw materials, glass wool, ceramics,
refractory products, drying of sewage sludge to
dedusting solutions for the production of cement
or tobacco, in recycling applications or as part
of the process engineering for the segregation of
powders or pasty materials using flash or spray
dryers. The typical types of thermal-processing
solutions are belt, flash, chamber, spray, and rotary
drum dryers. These units can be used for processes
such as curing, tempering, and calcining. In plants
designed for air pollution control, we are one
of the few manufacturers of both baghouse and
flat-bag dust filtration systems.

TEKA GmbH seit über zwanzig Jahren auf Erfolgskurs
TEKA on the road to success for more than twenty years
Am 1. April 1995 begannen Erwin Telöken
und Jürgen Kemper auf einem Bauernhof
mit der Entwicklung ihrer ersten Absaug- und
Filteranlage. Rasant verlief seitdem die Ent­
wicklung zum mittelständischen Unternehmen
mit rund hundert Mitarbeitern und einem
Jahresumsatz von 25 Mio Euro. Heute zählt die
TEKA Absaug- und Entsorgungstechnologie
GmbH zu den weltweit führenden Unter­­nehmen für Absaug- und Filtertechnologie.
Der Durchbruch gelang Ende der 90er Jahre
mit Absauganlagen für den boomenden Laser­
markt. Seitdem hat TEKA die Produktpalette an
mobilen, zentralen und stationären Absaugund Filteranlagen stetig erweitert. Zur Produkt­
palette gehören außerdem Ölnebelabscheider,
Schneid-, Schweiß- und Brennschneidtische
sowie Schall- und Sichtschutzelemente. In allen
Wirtschaftszweigen – von der metallverarbeiten­
den Industrie über die Recycling-Industrie und
die Elektroindustrie bis hin zur Labortechnik –

On a farm on 1 April 1995 Erwin Telöken
and Jürgen Kemper began their development
of the first extraction and filter system for
welding workshops. The progress of the
two-man operation to a company with around
one hundred employees and a turnover of
25 million Euro per annum was rapid. Today
TEKA is one of the world‘s leading companies
for extraction and filtering technology.
The breakthrough came in the late 90s with
extraction systems for the booming laser
market. Since then the company has constantly
expanded its product range of mobile, stationary
and central suction and filtering systems. The
product range also includes oil mist separators
and cutting, welding as well as gas cutting
benches and noise and privacy screens. In all
sectors - ranging from the metal processing
industry, the recycling and electric industry to
laboratory technology - TEKA units nowadays
ensure smooth production processes and clean
air at work.

Venjakob Umwelttechnik blickt auf fast 40 Jahre
Erfahrung beim Bau von Abluftreinigungsanla­
gen und Wärmerückgewinnungssystemen zurück
und gilt als einer der Pioniere bei der Reinigung
von Ablüften aus Beschichtungs- und Druckpro­
zessen.
Am Standort Sarstedt planen und fertigen wir
einzelne Komponenten bis hin zu schlüsselferti­
gen Anlagen für die Luftreinhaltung. Besonderen
Wert legen wir auf einen zuverlässigen Service.
Das Leistungsspektrum umfasst alle Arten der
thermischen Abluftreinigung: Neben den ener­
gieeffizienten Regenerativen Verbrennungsanla­
gen (RVA, RTO) bieten wir die klassischen Thermi­
schen und Katalytischen Verbrennungsanlagen
an. Alle Typen können wir mit Aufkonzentrations­
rädern und Wärmerückgewinnungssystemen
(Wasser, Thermalöl etc.) zu jeweils optimalen
Lösungen kombinieren.
Anwendungsbereiche: Lackierindustrie/Lackher­
stellung/ Rollen-, Tapeten- und Verpackungs­
druck/ Herstellung von Brems- und Schleifmit­
teln/ Biogaserzeugung/Halbleiter- und
Pharmaindustrie etc.

Venjakob Umwelttechnik has nearly 40 years of
experience in the construction of exhaust air
cleaning systems and heat recovery systems, and
is one of the pioneers in the cleaning of exhaust
air from coating and printing processes.
At the Sarstedt site we plan and manufacture
individual components and turnkey systems for air
pollution control. We place particular value on
providing a reliable service.
Our service portfolio encompasses all types of
thermal exhaust air cleaning. In addition to the
energy-efficient regenerative thermal oxidisers
(RTO), we also offer the classic thermal oxidisers
and catalytic thermal oxidisers. All types can be
combined with concentrator wheels and heat
recovery systems (water, thermal oil etc.) to
achieve the optimum solution for each application.
Fields of application: Paint industry/paint manufacture/ web/rotary offset printing/wallpaper and
package printing/ manufacture of braking and
abrasive material/ biomethanation/semiconductor and pharmaceutical industry etc.
