Freizeitprogramm der Gruppensprachreise bietet der
Kursort Poole den Jugendlichen gerade in den
Sommermonaten zusätzlich eine ganze Menge.

Dienstagabend ist Biker-Abend! Dann
findet im Zeitraum vom 05.07.30.08.2011 das größte und beste
wöchentliche Motorrad-Treffen am Poole
Quay (Hafen) statt. Der gesamte Hafen ist
dann für den Verkehr – außer Motorräder
– gesperrt. Über 1.000 Motorräder werden
erwartet.

Sandbanks Beach Volleyball Festival
Experience the thrill of competition amongst some of the UK's finest beach
volleyball players who'll be vying to improve their rankings on the world

17.07.: The Pirates of Penzance
What an evening! What a setting! Illyria present Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic opera about
an apprentice pirate.
The show is packed with laughter, romance and a galleon-full of memorable songs such as 'I am a
Pirate King!'; 'Modern Major General' and 'A Policeman's Lot is Not a Happy One'. This wonderful
operetta gets the complete Illyria treatment. All in the most romantic of settings at Corfe Castle

18.08.: Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl
In 2010 Illyria was the first UK open-air touring company to be granted permission to perform the work
of Roald Dahl. They are back again at the Castle with an even BIGGER Dahl classic!
All Mr Fox wants from life is to feed his family, and fortunately farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean have
and ample supply of chickens, geese and ducks! Illyria will provide an excellent evening of family
entertainment in the magical setting of our ruined castle

Sean Henry Contemporary Sculpture - Salisbury Cathedral
A major exhibition of Sean Henry's sculpture comes to the Cathedral for three months during the
summer. Henry has an international reputation for his uncannily realistic polychrome contemporary
clothed and painted human figures with their strong physical and psychological presence. See
Henry's people on original Cathedral plinths and in unexpected spaces.
They will be an exciting 21st century complement to the Cathedral's early sculptural effigies whilst his
larger sculptures will be found in The Close.
