Les baptêm es s ont célébrés le dernier dim anche de chaque
m ois . D eux enfants s eulem ent s ont acceptés à chaque
m ois . Le proces s us com m ence par l’ins cription de l’enfant
en utilis ant ce form ulaire (ce form ulaire peut aus s i être
com plété en ligne - voir w w w .s t-s tephen.ca , s ous
Sacrem ents ). Sur réception de ce form ulaire com plété, le
s ecrétariat com m uniquera avec les parents pour fixer la date
du baptêm e et de la s es s ion de préparation. Faites parvenir
ce form ulaire trois m ois avant la date dés irée du baptêm e.
Baptis m s are celebrated on the las t Sunday of the m onth. A
m axim um of three children are adm itted each m onth. The
proces s begins by regis tering the child us ing this form (this form
can als o be com pleted on-line - s ee w w w .s t-s tephen.ca , under
Sacrem ents ). U pon receiving this duly com pleted form , the paris h
w ill com m unicate w ith the parents to s et the date of the baptis m
and preperation s es s ion. Send this regis tration form thre e
m onths before the des ired date of batis m .
L’exactitude des renseignem ents fournis est prim ordiale car
ils serviront à com pléter les registres officiels. Les nom s,
prénom usuel et autres prénom s de l’enfant doivent être les
m êm es que sur le form ulaire d’enregistrem ent civil.
The accuracy of the inform ation provided is param ount as it will
b e used to com plete the parish register. The first nam e, other first
nam es and fam ily nam e of the child m ust b e the sam e as those
appearing on the civil registration certificate.

Les parents doivent obligatoirem ent participer à des
s es s ions de préparation qui s ont offertes s elon un horaire
prédéterm iné. Le parrain et la m arraine de l’enfant s ont
égalem ent invités à participer à ces s es s ions . C es s es s ions
s ont données de 10h à 12h30 le s am edi à la s acris tie de la
parois s e .
Preparation s es s ions , w hich are offered on a predeterm ined
s chedule a re m andatory for the parents . The godparents are als o
encouraged to participate in thes e s es s ions .. Thes e s es s ions
are from 7 pm to 9 pm at the paris h s acris ty.

an individual preparation; pleas e contact the paris h office for

U n s eul parrain ou une s eule m arraine s uffit; on ne peut
avoir deux parrains ou deux m arraines . Pour être parrain ou
m arraine, il faut :
• avoir les aptitudes et les intentions de rem plir ce rôle;
• être âgé d’au m oins s eize ans ;
• être de foi catholique et avoir été confirm é;
• ne pas être le père ou la m ère de l’enfant.
Only one godfather or one godm other is s ufficient; there cannot
be tw o godfathers or tw o godm others . To be eligible as a
godparent, one m us t:
• have the aptitute and intentions of fulfilling this role;
• be at leas t 16 years of age;
• be rom an catholic and have received confirm ation;
• not be the father or m other of the child.

récent s ur lequel la confirm ation es t ins crite.
The originals of the follow ing certificates m us t be provided at the

• the child's birth certificate (civil regis tration from the provincial
governm ent);
• from each godparent: a recent copy of their baptis m certificat
on w hich their confirm ation has been noted.
