MoodGYM (Celear & Christensen, 2010; Richardson, Stallard & Velleman, 2010) : un programme en ligne interactif, gratuit, conçu pour prévenir et diminuer les symptômes de dépression chez les jeunes. Il est basé sur la TCC et il vise à changer les pensées dysfonctionnelles, à améliorer l’estime de soi et les relations interpersonnelles, et à enseigner des compétences importantes pour la vie. Stressbusters (Richardson, Stallard & Velleman, 2010) : un programme autodirigé en huit séances, basé sur la TCC, exigeant un engagement thérapeutique minimal. Master your mood online (Celear & Christensen, 2010; Richardson, Stallard & Velleman, 2010) : une thérapie de groupe basée sur la TCC diffusée par l’intermédiaire d’une salle de clavardage et menée par un professionnel de la santé mentale. SPARX est un jeu de fiction interactif conçu pour servir de thérapie cognitivo-comportementale dans le traitement de personnes souffrant de dépression clinique grave. La jeune personne choisit son avatar et elle relève une série de défis pour restaurer l’équilibre dans un monde fictionnel dominé par des GNAT (Gloomy Negative Automatic Thoughts) (des pensées automatiques sombres et négatives). Le jeu vidéo SPARX s’appuie sur de bons résultats pour justifier son utilisation. Merry et coll. (2012) a recruté 187 adolescents de 12 à 19 ans cherchant de l’aide pour leurs symptômes de dépression, qui ont participé à une étude du jeu. La moitié du groupe a reçu une intervention par l’intermédiaire de SPARX et l’autre moitié a suivi un traitement habituel (soutien psychologique en personne). Les résultats ont démontré une réduction du taux de dépression dans les deux cas et ceux de SPARX n’étaient pas inférieurs au traitement habituel. Cette étude suggère que SPARK présente une solution de rechange potentielle au traitement habituel des symptômes de dépression dans un cadre de soins primaires et qu’il pourrait être utilisé pour répondre à des demandes de traitement non satisfaites.
