SUMMER CAMPS INFORMATION
Our camps run all year long for every player from 6 years old as non-boarders and from 10
years old as boarders. We offer various tennis training programs, adapted to competitive tennis
fitness training, official tournaments and intensive language classes (depending on the options).
Groups of all levels and ages are offered. Groups are formed according to level rather than
age. The minimum period for a camp is one week. A camper can stay as many weeks as he/she
wants.

ARRIVALS FOR BOARDING CAMPERS are at 6 PM on Sunday at the Academy

AIRPORT AND TRAIN STATION TRANSFERS
Shuttle transfers can be organized from Nice International Airport (20 minutes) or Antibes train station
(15 minutes) for 50€ round trip. In this case, you must choose the “airport pick-up” option and fill out the
arrival and departure information on the online application. Campers may arrive at any time of the day on
Sunday between 1 pm and 5 pm. Departures must be Saturday afternoon between 1 pm and 5 pm.

DEPARTURES MUST BE ON
- Saturday at 10.30 AM at the Academy for those who will be picked up and
- Saturday (preferably between 1 pm and 5 pm) those who have selected the option pick-up
airport or train station
IMPORTANT : If your child travels alone by plane (U.M. « Unaccompanied Minor »), please send
an e- mail at [email protected] the week before his/her arrival.
TRAINING
The training runs from Monday morning at 8.30 AM to Saturday at 10.30 AM. There are 4
players max per court and per coach, sometimes 5 players on 2 courts. The typical day includes
two 2-hour tennis practices and one 1.5-hour fitness session. A second optional fitness session is
offered in the afternoon. Campers in language options have only one fitness session.

Curfew
Fitness sessions are adapted to competitive tennis and include coordination, muscle
strengthening, endurance, speed, flexibility, and injury prevention. Sessions are composed
of varied circuits and team sports.
FREE TIME / ACTIVITIES ON CAMPUS
During their free time, campers can use the following facilities: ping-pong tables and game rooms
(pool table, foosball , computers, games, reading, TV...). A bar also sells sodas and snacks at
lunch time and in the evenings.
SURFACE
Training is done on clay and/or hard courts. Indoor courts are available in case of rain.
RAIN
In case of rain (very rare on the French Riviera !), campers will play on the indoor courts of the
Tennis Academy with an adapted schedule. No refund will be done.

TOURNAMENTS
A camp with a “tournament option” must last at least 2 weeks. Campers will be registered in
1 tournament per week. Tournaments are organized by clubs within the region and sanctioned by
the French Tennis Federation. Campers can play at any time of the day during the week and the
week-end. Foreign players get a license and a French rating, which will allow them to play French
tournaments for the whole season in France. The Academy takes care of the administrative work.
A medical certificate is mandatory to play. A player with no medical certificate with him for his/
her match, will be refused to play and will not be reimbursed.
Note: Very rarely it can happen that a camper is not able to play a tournament per week
because of a calendar conflict. In such a case, the Academy reimburses the tournament option for
that week.
LANGUAGE CLASSES
The French and English lessons (1.5 hr) take place in the morning between 8.30 am and 12:00
pm from Monday to Friday. The groups are done by level with 5 to 10 students
DORMS
The players stay in quadruple rooms from Sunday evening to Saturday morning.
There is one bathroom with per room, more collective bathrooms are available. All meals are
included from Sunday evening to Saturday at noon.
All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included from Sunday evening to Saturday noon.
Sheets are provided but players must bring their own towels (shower).
A deposit of 20 euros is required for the key room and cafeteria’s card.
Campers are supervised 24h/24 and 7d/7 from their arrival to their departure.

NON-BOARDERS
Non-boarding camps for the full day include lunch at the CIV campus from Monday to Friday.
INTERNET AT THE CAMPUS
A WIFI connection can be used by campers who bring their own lap top computer.
Otherwise, computers connected to the internet are available in the game room.
WEEK-END
Campers staying several weeks are taken care of during weekends. Activities and trips
are organized (beach, swimming pool, team sports, games etc...)
POCKET MONEY
Between 80€ and 100€ per week is advised: beverages, cereal bars, stringing, doctors visit in
case of an emergency...
It is NOT possible to make a wire transfer to Academy to give pocket money to a camper.

VISA – LETTER OF INVITATION
If you need a letter of invitation to obtain a visa, you first need to fill out the online application,
then make a payment of 50%, and finally send an e-mail at
[email protected] with the following information: last name, first name, date of birth,
passport number, complete address, dates of arrival and departure.

- Full-tennis/golf/sports equipment
(golf clubs are not necessary and can be borrowed for free on site,
tennis racquets are necessary)

- Swimsuit (boxer is mandatory, no boardshort allowed)
