The Department of Animal Science, Cornell
University, is seeking an Assistant Professor in swine
nutrition. The position is 45 percent teaching, 50
percent research and 5 percent extension.
Required: A Ph.D. in swine nutrition with a strong
training in biochemistry and physiology. Preference
will be given to candidates who, through experience
and/or training, have an understanding of and an
interest in the solution of problems related to swine
production with the ability to develop a fundamental
research program in nutrition and growth.

Duties will be to supervise a staff of 40 Sudanese
laborers on a rural sheep ranch9 The manager will
assume responsibility for the operating of the ranch,
with emphasis on a cross-breeding program, range and
herd management, reseeding and pasture management.
He will also design a marketing program.
Required: Management experience on a mixed
farm, sheep ranching experience, formal training in
