THE WORKSHOP
The second “Workshop on Industry & Practices for
Forecasting” (WIPFOR) will be held on June 5, 6, 7,
2013 in Paris.
This workshop is devoted to time series forecasting
techniques using stochastic modeling and stochastic
learning methods in a high dimensional context. This
subject covers a wide panel of industries: energy,
finance, transportation, networks, IT, meteorology,
health research and environment.
The purpose is to bring together academics and
industry professionals to share different experiences
and discuss future trends related to this area. Both
theoretical and practical issues will be considered.
THE SCHEDULE
The workshop will consist of plenary sessions
(40 min/talk) and regular sessions (20 min/talk); the
allowed time includes questions and discussion. Each
regular session will be dedicated to a specific topic.
The Program Committee invites the submission of
abstracts related to the theory and practices on those
topics. Those presenting papers in regular (track)
sessions may co-author multiple papers, but may
present only one paper.
INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
A title, abstract and an extended abstract (1 to 3 pages
A4) of the proposed contribution are required. A
notification of acceptance will be sent on
March 1, 2013.
During the workshop, printed handouts or CDROM
will be issued, which will include abstracts of
contributions. Copies of presentations and any
additional material (references, software, etc.) will be
available on the website after the workshop.
Moreover, selected full papers and posters
presentations will be refereed and published in special
issue proceedings.
Detailed instructions relative to abstract submission
can be found on the WIPFOR website.
