Anna GLASER

Biography
Anna GLASER is Associate Professor of business policy and strategy at Novancia Business
School Paris since 2013. She is a member of the French observatory of competitiveness
clusters at Mines ParisTech and the LABEX research chair on Nanotechnologies at Novancia.
Her research concentrates on industry clusters (e.g. policies, governance, management,
evaluation) and institutional factors that facilitate or hinder the genesis of inter-organizational
collaborations and innovations.
Originally from Austria, Anna Glaser holds a PhD from ESCP Europe and Mines ParisTech
(2014), in which she studied the organizational dilemmas and pathologies when implementing
top-down cluster policies. During her PhD, she did a research visiting at UQAM in Canada
(2011) and she participated in the CEFAG programme (2012) (a French doctoral programme
organised by the FNEGE). She has a Master in Commerce and a CEMS MsC in International
Management (2007) from the Vienna University of Economics and business (WU Wien). For
her Master Thesis, she did a research visiting at UNC Chapel Hill (2005) with the NEURUS
programme (Network for European and United States Regional and Urban Studies).
In addition to her academic career, she also worked in the Evaluation Department of the
International Labour Organisation in Geneva (2006-2007), as a Business Analyst for AC
Nielsen (2007) and as a Research Executive for TNS Sofres (2008-2009).
