ATHENS GENERAL PROGRAMME
November 2015 in Paris
Students coming from our ATHENS Partner Institution are welcome for this 8-day ATHENS Session in Paris from
November 14th to November 20th, 2015. Each student is expected to devote most of her/his time in Paris to
the scientific course she/he has been accepted in, but also to the mandatory social and cultural activities
organized within the program.
Before you leave home, do not forget to:
1. Make sure you are covered by a personal insurance. Contact your insurance and collect information
about what to do and who to call if anything happens while you’re away from home (accidents, losses
and/or robbery, illness, etc.)
2. Pack you National Identity Card or Passport, as well as your current Student Card: you’ll have to show
these documents frequently during your stay in Paris.
3. Secure 35€ in cash to pay for the European dimension activities, and 5€ more as a participation to the
fees of the Friday evening party organized by your fellow students from ParisTech Institutions. To
avoid change problems, please bring the exact amount.
4. In case you have requested housing, check the housing information you’ve been sent by email and
make sure you’ll be able to pay for the entire stay at your arrival according to your assigned hotel
rules.
5. Carefully select the guided tours you wish to participate in among those proposed later in this
document, you’ll be asked for it when registering.
About housing
First of all, please understand that almost 250 students are asking for housing in Paris and how difficult it is
for any administration to manage such a large population.
If you have requested housing in Paris, a bed will have been booked for you for the length of the November
2015 session in one of the two following residences:
 CISP (Centre international de séjour de Paris), 17 Boulevard Kellerman, 75013 Paris (2 to 3 students
per room)
 Hôtel Formule 1, 21-23 Avenue de la Porte de Châtillon, 75014 Paris (2 students per room)
Please consult your emails, you should receive information about which residence and which type of room
you’ve been assigned to, together with the payment conditions. You will not be allowed to change rooms
during your stay.
