La médecine tropicale, longtemps considérée comme étant
uniquement l’apanage des régions tropicales, est devenue le centre
d’intérêt du monde entier. La mondialisation et la facilité des
transports de biens et de personnes ont contribué à diffuser les
pathogènes et leurs vecteurs.
De ce fait, le comité d’organisation du congrès et du cours a choisi
de diversifier et de développer le contenu scientifique afin de
répondre au mieux aux attentes des apprenants.

Le programme scientifique comprend 3 Volets :
La Direction Générale de la Santé Militaire organise, en
collaboration avec la Faculté de Médecine de Sfax (Tunisie),

le 1 Congrès Militaire International de Médecine Tropicale
et Pathologies Sub-sahariennes et ce du 23 au 25 Octobre
2016 à Gabes.
Ce congrès, recommandé par le Comité International de
Médecine Militaire (CIMM), sera organisé en concomitance
ème
avec le 7 Cours Tuniso-Allemand de Médecine Tropicale
& Pathologies Sub-sahariennes qui sera tenu du 23 au 28
octobre 2016 à l'hôpital militaire de Gabès.
Nous vous invitons à participer nombreux à ces événements
scientifiques. Ils rassembleront d’éminents conférenciers,
militaires et civils, nationaux et internationaux, relevant
d’institutions universitaires partenaires. ils sont conçus pour
être enrichissant pour les participants qui viennent
approfondir leurs
connaissances et échanger leurs
expériences dans le domaine de la gestion des maladies
tropicales et émergentes.
Ces domaines d'activités ont gagné en intérêt, suite aux
nombreuses crises humanitaires constatées ces dernières
années dans les régions sahariennes. Ces crises ont
engendré un afflux de réfugiés nécessitant le déploiement
et l’assistance des services de santé des armées. Les
médecins sollicités étaient amenés à diagnostiquer ces
pathologies et à les prendre en charge.
Vous êtes conviés à prendre part aussi bien au congrès
qu'au cours de médecine tropicale & pathologies subsahariennes et nous serons très heureux de vous accueillir
parmi nous en octobre prochain dans le cadre agréable de
la ville de Gabés.
I-Une formation théorique : englobe plusieurs thèmes liés à la prise
en charge de maladies infectieuses transmissibles notamment la
tuberculose, la lèpre, la leishmaniose, la rickettsiose et
particulièrement les maladies émergentes et ré-émergentes.
II-Des ateliers pratiques : permettront le renforcement de
l’enseignement théorique notamment dans le domaine de la gestion
de l’accès palustre, la prise en charge de la leishmaniose cutanée et
des fièvres éruptives ainsi que la familiarisation avec le calendrier
vaccinal en zones tropicales.
III-Des séances de communication libre : offriront l'opportunité
d'échange et du partage d'expérience.
Les conférences seront présentées aussi bien en langue française et
anglaise tenant compte de la langue des séances.

PROGRAMME CULTUREL : Oasis de Gabès, Visite du village berbère
Tamezret et des troglodytes de Matmata, musé militaire de Mareth.
INSCRIPTION
Les frais d’inscription fixés à 450 €uros donnent droit à la
participation à toutes les activités scientifiques, culturelles et
l’hébergement dans un hôtel 4* à Gabès.
L’inscription se fera directement sur le site web www.cimmicmm.org ; Date limite d'inscription : 20 septembre 2016. Le
paiement des frais se fera sur site à l'arrivée.
ARRIVEE - DEPART
Les participants sont invités à planifier leurs arrivées sur l’aéroport
de Gabès-Matmata le dimanche 23 octobre 2016 et leurs retours
également de Gabes- Matmata le vendredi 28 octobre 2016.
Le comité d’organisation se chargera des transferts hôtel aéroport à
l’arrivée et au départ tenant comptes des plans de vols.
HEBERGEMENT
L’hébergement sera à l’hôtel l’Oasis Gabès (4*) pour un séjour de
cinq nuitées en pension complète. Les nuitées supplémentaires ou
à Tunis seront à charge du participant.

Dear colleagues and friends,
Tunisian General Directorate of Military Health organizes,
with the collaboration of the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax
(Tunisia), the 1st International Military Congress of Tropical
Medicine and Sub-Saharan Diseases from October 23rd to

25 , 2016 in Gabes.
This congress, recommended by the International
Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM), will be organized
in concomitance with the 7th Tunisian-German course of
tropical medicine and sub-Saharan Diseases which will be
held during the period of October 23-28, 2016 in the
Military Hospital of Gabes.
I cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming
scientific events. It will involve national and international,
military and civilian speakers from academic partner
institutions. It's designed in order to make participants
improve their knowledge and exchange their experiences
in the field of tropical and emerging disease management.
This field of activity is gaining interest, especially after
many humanitarian crises seen in these recent years in the
Saharan regions. These crises led to large displaced
population requiring assistance and deployment of military
health service personnel. Solicited doctors were asked to
diagnose these diseases and to support them .
You are invited to attend both, the medical congress and
the course on tropical medicine and sub-Saharan diseases
and we are looking forward to hosting you in beautiful city
of Gabes very soon.
For a long time, tropical medicine use to be considered as
specificity of only tropical areas. Nowadays, it has become a
worldwide concern, especially because of globalization and the
expansion of individuals and goods transport, contributing to the
spread of pathogens and their vectors.
Thereby, the congress and course, organizing committee took the
choice to make a varied scientific content in order to meet the
maximum of learners’ expectations.
The scientific program includes 3 parts:
I-Theoretical training: that covers many topics related to the
management of communicable infectious diseases, including
tuberculosis, leprosy, leishmaniasis, Rickettsia and particularly
emerging and re-emerging diseases.
II-Practical workshops: to give the opportunity to the learners to
improve their knowledge, notably in the field of management of
malaria, the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis and eruptive
fevers and familiarization with the vaccination calendar in tropical
areas.
III-Free communication sessions : will offer the opportunity to
share experiences and exchange.
The lectures will be presented in both French and English taking
account of the main language of the sessions.

REGISTRATION
The registration fee is 450 € eligible for participation in all
scientific, cultural and accommodation in a 4* hotel in Gabes.
Registration is performed directly on the website www.cimmicmm.org; Registration deadline: September 20, 2016. Fee
payment will be done on site at arrival.
ARRIVAL/ DEPARTURE
Participants are encouraged to plan their arrival at the airport of
Gabes-Matmata no later than Sunday, October 23, 2016 and
their departure also from Gabes- Matmata on Friday October 28,
2016.
The organizing committee will arrange airport transfers to and
from the hotel, according to flight plans.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation will be at the Hotel Oasis Gabes (4 *) for a stay
of five nights in full board. Additional nights or those in Tunis will
be in charge of the participant.
